We once arrived at a new location in Italy expecting to stay perhaps a week. Everything we wanted was so easily accessible and all new to us so we ended up staying for 39 nights, right up to heading home time. Loved every minute of it.

On another occasion we left our plans behind and headed almost due east for 600 miles from Lake Garda to Perpignan to escape the long time poor weather. Works both ways for us

Bobandfay Donned our walking and got the walking sticks out and set off in the rain for the lighthouse. You could have told us it was a road all the way up the cliffs.

Took the tram to Benidorm today, jesus what an awful place.
No culture or character even the old town was naff. Just shops bars & restaurants, uncouthed Brit northerners everywhere it was cold 18° and light rain and they are all dressed in shorts and tee shirts, glad I'm a souther softie.
Appeared to be more northerners than Spaniards.
How on earth could anyone spend a winter there, must be mad.
We did find one quite nice bar by the beach where we had a coffee and they played decent music, Santana/Stevie Nicks/U2/Bob Martley etc.

Steady on! It’s taken me years to perfect my uncouthed Brit Northerner ways

I'm a newbie and always will be. You never know it all.
Waves got up so no Paddleboarding so we headed inland to Parc Natural de la Serra de Mariola. We were heading for a small CP now that's where the fun started.
Spent ages driving up & down rough forest trails we were just about to give up then a little jeep came up the track it was a Forest Ranger and he spoke good English. He didn't know where it was he phoned then and they could see our van we were only a couple of hundred metres away. He drove found the place & came back for us and we followed. All good nope part of the track was unpassable for us, but there was another way round much easier & we finally got there.

Small camper stop 3 places in the front garden, lovely friendly couple made to feel welcome. Even have use of their pool but it was 12 deg, no thanks.

Most of the riders are lazy

Annoys me. Makes the genuine, really sick or disabled look like them.
Most people are really lazy,,moan about making beds up,moan about filling fresh water up,moan about taking black and grey waste away.In fact most things that involve physical exercise..BUSBY😇😇

Lenny, I wish I could get my wife to consider crossing the channel, you visit some wonderful places and the food looks yummy :p
Try the financial angle it's much cheaper than staying in the UK.
Camping can be done for free which we do most of the time not so much on this trip.
A pint tonight was £2.25, most I've paid is £3.15, not as good as real ale but us men have to make sacrifices.
Wine at a pound a litre is quite drinkable.
Lidl gin is very good around £4.85 Lt.
What more could she want.
