Hi to everyone, hope someone can shed some light on the problem I now seem to have. We went to Southport last week and everything was fine with the batteries, when we got home and unpacked we stupidly lefted the 12v on and a light on. Next morning the leisure battery was completely flat. I thought no worries I'll just give it a 24 hour re- charge and it will be fine. But now no matter what we do the battery will not hold it's charge! Is it as I suspect a now knackered leisure battery??.

The van is a 2001 Hymer Bclass, we bought it in February! Great time to buy eh!!! Not sure of the history of wild camping. The battery is a A28 varta 12v 110ah (20h) 90ah (5h) if that's any good? I have it plugged in now to charge overnight and try again.

Sounds like the battery has had it. Don't leave it on charge trying to charge a dead battery is one of the best ways of blowing up an Elektroblock.
The original battery would had been a Gel worth checking the Ekektroblock is on the correct setting as if set to Gel it will have shortened the life of your battery.

sometimes, and I do mean sometimes you can recover a battery from dead flat by using jump leads and another battery to trick the battery charger into charging. Some chargers will not start charging if they don't see a high enough voltage on the battery. However, deeply discharging a battery will damage it and ultimately kill it
