Adria Matrix DC 2021
Hi everyone, wonder if someone could help ?

We have a a 2021 Adria Matrix with a 100 amp hour Agm battery in it, with 2 solar panels on.
I’ve had it on EHU for the past week whilst it’s in storage on our drive, after taking it off 4 days ago I’ve checked the battery state and the leisure battery is at 24% but the van battery is 100%.

It’s been cloudy all week so I’m guessing the 2 panels (I don’t know their wattage) would not have helped much.
The control panel was on in the van but nothing else.

Is the leisure battery toast already or is this normal for this kind of voltage drop?

Would be grateful for any advice
Thanks
Nick

Do you measure the voltage of the leisure battery? Some battery % displays are inaccurate.

You really need to check the battery directly rather than the control panel. Treat yourself for Xmas and buy a multimeter. Best thing to keep in your van..

If the gauge is accurate and the leisure battery is 100Ah then it's lost 76Ah in 4 days. So that's 76/4 = 19Ah per day, or on average 19/24 = 790 mAh per hour, ie 790mA average loss. That's a bit on the high side, but not unusual, especially if the control panel is left on.

How are you measuring the % remaining? Is it a voltmeter-based estimate, or is there a shunt-based metering capability? Does it have an EBL? If so the calculation is a bit different.

I was just using the Adria control panel to measure, I just couldn’t understand why the vehicle battery was fully charged and the leusure battery was so low It has been cloudy so I expected the solar panels not to charge that well. It’s back on EHU now. I guess I need to un plug it and measure the battery with a multimeter to get a true reading.

While you are at it, you could take a few measurements to see if the batteries is being charged from the solar, and/or the EHU. 12.8V or below, it's not being charged. 13.0V and above, it's being charged.

Or better still , as suggested by others on here , fit a Victron smart shunt and you will know exactly where you are power wise .
