Hi ..... Auto-Trail Cheyenne 2002 on a Fiat Ducato 2.8 JTD. I have no power in my Motorhome via my 2 leisure batteries. This is when unhooked (no power mains) and when hooked up power mains, so only my main saloon lights that need hook up to work and my fridge are operating . I’ve just checked their charge and they are 12.8 and should be 13.8, so nothing in it. Had they been completely dead then I would have replaced them. Maybe a switch has flicked ? Fuse ? Photo of a fuse section in the engine compartment near the van battery, not sure what these do ?

Any ideas 💡 please ?

Does the leisure battery voltage rise when the engine is running? It should go up to well over 13V, probably nearer 14.4V. If it does, that tells you the leisure battery main fuse is OK, and the split charge relay is working OK.

Hi and thank you ... Where would the Leisure Battery main fuse be situated and the split charge ? The voltage reader was blank when the batteries were in place. I’ve taken the leisure batteries off completely and will be either putting them back tomorrow (Monday) or end of November. I’ve plugged into the mains and all the lights are now working in all areas of the Motorhome. I’m still at a loss as to the fuse set up in the engine compartment next to the main heavy duty van battery and unsure if they are relevant? I’ve no electric step to the habitation door, so fuse slots in that area are not for that. I’ve posted some photos. I’m unsure if this fuse section has any bearing on my issues ? 👇🏻

There 👆🏻are two 20 amp fuses ( green arrows) and one 15 ( Red Arrow ) The blue arrow points to my heavy duty engine battery.

There are two things happening after
a
lengthy road run. The 15 fuse is melting partly and breaking. This leaves the burn marks when I pull it out. (Red Arrow)
The yellow 20 fuse ( Green Arrow ) is breaking in its connection within the fuse. Again, I’m unsure if this has any bearing on my issues ?

Hi. I have the same age and model van (just without the over cab bed). Are you able to test / check any of the fuses on the Sargent box in the wardrobe? I have also found Sargent to be very helpful with advice. Might be worth an email. Have you got the schematics? They are available online as a PDF. I'll have a look and see if they give any help.

Thanks Cush. I’ve a Motorhome Electrician looking at end of November. It’s all too complicated for me. 👍🏻

No problem. Hope you get it sorted. Let us know how you get on.
On another note, is yours a 630 LB, and do you have solar fitted?
