Another project finished. Almost disappointed that I am missing out on the adrenaline fuelled last row 'will there won't there be enough?'. Very clear there isn't enough. Will do another bit of edging for my friend's 40's outfits with what is left. And then I will have to have another dive in my stash box. I am so virtuous, using up all the stash! (There's far more in that box than I thought....)

It's about 26 1/2 x 47'' (68x120cm for us metrics), possibly a bit bigger once stretched, don't think I got any charcoal or paint on it. And it is looking for a home, do PM your address if you would like it, happy to post.

Two bits of edging with the left-over cotton. Liked doing the filet, may buy enough cotton to do a proper filet tablecloth. Nope, stash first. Have now dug out some fingering weight in white. Guess originally for some baby things (yarn from my friend's mum), have found a lace pattern for a scarf, may give that a go. Might be too complicated though for the moment as I am very busy at work and not always up to concentrating, will see.

Really need to get my head and heart back into knitting, but have lost my mojo, don't need any more Aran cardis or jumpers and neither does John. Son and grandsons can't wear anything containing wool and my stash is mainly 25% wool aran weight. did a long lone chunky cardigan a long time ago, did a couple in fact, have found the pattern chunky wool now is so much finer than then, wonder if I using 2 strands of Aran would work.
suggestions welcome.

Motorhomed for almost 7 years - now going nowhere!
I finished this monkey just before the weekend. I had intended it as a dog toy so stuffed it really hard. However, when Derek saw it he suggested that the dogs would rip it to pieces so I should give it to Evie Grace. Anthony (eldest son) has taken it to hand over to young Evie when he sees her again.

We haven't seen her since she was two months old but there is a lovely picture of her on facebook feeding her dolly with a bottle. Lovely to see, my daughter never liked dolls and buying dolls prams was a waste of money. C807F7C2-38A1-4402-AC1A-8A1A6F86317C.jpeg

I can see that! 🤣🤣
Morecambe & Wise sketch from early 60s when this kind of content was likely to be banned. It concerns Rudolf Nureyev's first ballet appearance after his defection:

EM: I went to the Ballet last week. Nureyev was there, dancing the lead in Swan Lake
EW: Did you see all of it?
EM: I think we all did ...

Anyone fancy a challenge?
I have just been wandering about the internet - as you do - and came across Double Treble Trinkets - teeny tiny reindeer, christmas puds, teddies etc. etc. Just up your street SGNV

I'm just gong to pop back and have another look.
Are these the ones? Adorable! I made a teddy using crochet cotton once - he’s about 2” tall but I never made another one 😂

My grandmother taught me to crochet 55 years ago and I always travel with a set of hooks. Charity shops are a great place to find supplies. Happy hooking :)
Grandmas, hooking, searching for supplies ... There must be a Wayne Rooney joke in there somewhere, but it eludes me at present ... Probably just as well ...

Having lowered the tone [again], Elaine has finished her sewing project. Again, I fear I have caused confusion when I said I would like to see the frogs. I was really thinking about taking Brunhilde to France ...

Ok, first ever attempt at taking photo with phone and attaching. Stresses this dinosaur, but no staff wifi where I'm working right now.
Scarf in crown of glory pattern ( Shetland lace pattern). Not keen on the white but have a whole bag of it and I will not do baby things.
I found it very easy to knit once I'd done a few repeats. It's not properly blocked yet, I'm a bit short on space in here!
