Daughter and family want to come on holiday with us in RV, but site needs to have loads for the kids to do, price is not an issue. I have tried some near Jesolo on the Adriatic, Marina di Venezia and Union Lido but all the bookable pitches are booked, loads of turn up up and hope pitches left, but son-in-law is a worrier, so its got to be booked.
Any suggestions, don't want any on the Atlantic.

La Dunas near L’escala is a big popular site and they have had a new pool etc put in about 2 years ago.

Very busy in Summer but it’s a nice area.

A few more French unfortunately than there used to be

Esterelle is great near Agay south of France great site beautiful location, but a cycle ride from beach, fantastic family pools etc might need a car ..... or La Brazilia near Perpignan, my husbands favourite though personally I wasn’t as keen on the surrounding area. All busy busy!
Playa Montroig Tarragona great too would take my Grandkids and be confident they would love it. German lady who loved a great family site recommended Tournels ? near St Tropez.

Thats where we have headed for the past 6 years for our main summer holidays.
Something for everyone but eye-watering prices although they drop mid August when the Germans and Dutch leave and camp far quieter; good take away; restaurant; beach; entertainment. Toilets and rest of site always Germanic immaculate; lots of Germans and Dutch then Spanish and French with a few of us Brits. English is the predominant language despite notionally being lower priority than all of these and Catalan.
We have done 6 weeks over the last couple of years but down to 2 weeks this year as we are exploring further north by ourselves with fewer off spring in tow.

Is it still all cash?

We have been 3-4 times in the school summer holidays, but not since they replaced the swimming area.

We hired an apartment in L’escala last summer (y)

Loads of large sites around Pyla Dune in SW France. Have pools, kids clubs and there are other activities such as hang gliding on the dune and sea water sports.

Yes still all cash - one wonders why :) Nice big Porsche the owner turns up with from time to time.
We used to get a discount and with the Euro fall and our boys now working and having girl friends we feel we have done everything in the area, so more us time to head inland and ending up in Logrono for a week.
The Dali Museum in Figueres is the wife's favourite and well worth a visit even I enjoyed trying to work out what he was trying to do with his art.

worth having a look at this

You are proberly aware of this site and have tried it. But I'll post incase you haven't great site in Lido de Jesolo

I had the best steak of my life at there restraunt I will go back one day

Look at Eurocamp website as they use mostly large sites with lots to do. It will give you a good idea what is available on and off site then you could contact the holiday site yourself to see if they have availability.

We go to Le Brasilia near Canet , it's a yellow site. Large pitches direct access to beach, excellent facilities for children(our grandchildren love it). Probably best shower blocks I have ever seen. Many people we meet up with says it's by far the best site they have been to.

La Marina or Sanguli

Thanks for all the replies guys, but a decision has been to leave it to next year, everywhere my daughter likes is full. Its my 70 next year, and if we organise ourselves and book around this xmas we should get to where the daughter wants to go, which is Marina di Veneza (https://www.marinadivenezia.it/eng/) we went there maybe ten years ago with the youngest daughter, and after she had a chat to the eldest, nothing else was really in the running, and the youngest daughter and hubby can join us as well so family party.

So its Darby and Joan of to Dunkirk late July for 3 weeks or so as the ferry is already booked, and then turn left, right or straight on? Quite fancy Germany, meander down the Rhine perhaps. Maybe see where the best weather is and head that way.:)
