I have just found a battery hidden in the wardrobe, it is connected from the Solar controller it has 2 fuses and is being charged by the solar, it also seems to be connected to the leisure battery under the passenger seat. It has a label as follows: Magna Tec Valve regulated rechargable battery 1233c 12v 33 amp hours. Would it be a "extra" leisure battery or has it another "Job"? My leisure battery under the seat is 110 amp hours.
When I Googled it, I couldn`t find anything, so I just wondered if one of the "Fun" people might be able to point me in the correct direction.

I was thinking that if it is an additional leisure battery I would buy a new one of the same size as the one have under my seat (110).

Thats a specialist type back up battery of some sort for alarms systems PCs and other IT equipment BUT if you are sure its linked to your main leisure 110amp then its just being used as extra storage and bigger would be better if you have room
maybe the previous owner was an IT tec and saw it as free power better than non
all the "Valve Regulated" means is it is a sealed lead acid

VRLA is often the technology used by Gel and AGM batteries?
Is the other habitation battery also the same technology, as a 110Ah battery size suggests it is possibly Wet Acid, if so they shouldn't be linked together?

Batteries that are linked should ideally be the same Size, age and technology, i.e. both Wet as the charger will be optimised for one or other battery types, but not both?

Suggest you investigate a bit more?

Thank you for the information, I am going to take out the vrla 33ah battery as I don't think I need it, in fact it may have made more problems. I have a 110 ah leisure and a solar panel, we only spend an odd night without 240 v connection so perhaps that will do, if it doesn't then I will put another 110ah with it.

Does that sound OK?

That would be our suggestion.

Remember if you do add a second 110Ah battery at a later date it should be similar Age (within 6 months), technology and, ideally, same manufacturer.

Not all wet Lead Acids are the same voltage when fully charged, while a Bosch L5 can be 13v, a Banner can be 12.7v.
Obviously two such batteries paired together will 'fight'.

Just in case anyone is interested.
VRLA stands for Valve Regulated Lead Acid.

These are maintenance 'free' batteries with a valve and a bit of technology to help retain the electrolyte in good condition.

It has a bit of technology (catalyst) that combines free oxygen and hydrogen back into water.

This means that when you are charging and electrolysis breaks apart the water molecules into Hydrogen and Oxygen this will be converted back to water meaning you don't need to top the battery up periodically. Hence the maintenance free aspect.

The valve is there to release pressure if you ever abuse the battery and it will release any excess build up of gases.

VRLA AGM batteries are my favourite construction as a fulltimer my last bank lasted over 8 years.
