Very exciting. Was a bit more scary than I imagined and had to get help from the fella on the till. But now I know the score I will be ok.

I still find it scary, after 2 years. Mind you, I've only rarely needed to do it, you sort of forget. Especially in lockdown.

It's was a bit weird that is seemed slack when you twist onto the bayonet. However I didn't know that the trigger made the seal. I thought that was the discharge device. I felt a bit silly when the fella came out and pointed out the big red button.

It's a lot cheaper across, nearly half the price of Union Mills, so you will be even more pleased. (y)

HaHa. Yes that's true. Not much cheaper than the exchange cylinders really but we got it for across and for Spain. You never know we might just get of island by April. Good to support kaneens as well. I might buy a removable bottle as well as he said they have no problems with filling anything.

Stop!!

Not the red one - that is the emergency stop.

The green one normally. Or maybe black but not red.

Yeah we fitted ours just before the first lockdown.only filled it once..but have noticed they are pulling out of some shell garages now..just hope someone else installs them..🤔

Depends on the LPG station. My local taxi filling one has a special plastic lug screwed to the pump to keep the button in that’s supposed to be a dead mans handle. 😬

What system are you using with the app ?

I have used a red button for filling too. I agree with some others, it doesn’t get any less scarey. We keep leather gardening gauntlets under the passenger seat for the purpose, we did once get a bad seal on an adapter in France. The adapters need to be screwed really tight, more than I could manage.
gpat - you need adapters for europe, and they are not all the same !

Perhaps I am blasé then, it doesn’t bother me. The most awkward moment I had was when a safefill bottle overfilled. I took it outside and vented off the excess with an old pigtail, you needed gloves after that!

I don’t find it ever gets colds enough to require gloves unless there is a leak and then you should stop anyway.

Interesting - I have the Mopeka gadget and my freshly-filled 11kg Gasit shows as 80% when full. I'm sure I've read of others that read the same. When I refilled at 37% contents shown, I put in 10.37ltrs, which would be about right for full at 20ltrs. I'm happy to work on the 80% figure - it seems accurate.

What's the concensus on readings?

Incorrect cylinder size selected in the app settings looks the most likely ?

Early to say but it went from zero to 100%

Only downside of the Mopeka gadget is it goes underneath the tank. It's a real pain getting to it to change battery or sync it when it weights about 15kgs and it's right at the back of the locker

My two 6kg bottles never go to 100% only about 85% rest is the safety space needed in t(e bottles as they never fill full.

No, I've checked the settings. Tank region: Other - Europe; Tank Size: 11kg

No other options available as far as I can see. I'm happy with it showing 80% as 'full' - easy enough to work out (y)

No not you  the OP's settings. :giggle:

When I fill my underslung tank the safety shutoff cuts in and my Mopeka registers 77% so there about's the 80% I would expect as does yours, that's why I would query the OP has the correct cylinder size in the Mopeka app settings.

Doh - thought you were offering a solution to my issue. This far down the thread, I'd forgotten the original question....

Mine goes from 0 to 100%
I don’t use the app but the small receiver panel

I’m getting one fitted to a T339 in the spring. Did they fit the external filling cap in the skirting?
