After my postings back in April regarding our first trip to France, we've booked the tunnel for next Wednesday afternoon. Yippee!!!!
Thanks to all of you great funsters that have given valuable info regarding 'what to take?''what time to go?' 'where and how to book?' etc etc...
Now looking forward to Canterbury C&CC site prior to the off, and the 3+ weeks away. Hoping to eventually reach the Dordogne on our first MH travel to France.

Currently in Southern France enjoying fantastic weather but rubbish internet connection. Will try and post update of our fantastic time with photos as soon as possible. Found some really nice free Aires during our trip across France which have been photographed for other Funsters info. Best regard to all

For free internet, go the tourist information or if going out for a drink at night, you can get a half litre of wine from anywhere between 4 and 10 euros and free internet from the bar.

In the Dordogne an Aire with free water/waste/electric. At a place called Marquay about 5 miles from Sarlat. Beautiful spot, lovely views. Local Mairee, bar and restaurant. Near for day visit to Sarlat (ancient town with great streets, market and fab restaurants) or Tamnies village approx 3 miles with swimming lake and easy free access for MH.

That sounds marvellous. Imagine, we live in France but work still stops us getting away any distance.
Remember a 'canicule' is expected with extreme temperatures. Canicule = heatwave. Starts tomorrow.
