I was checking tyre pressures with the emergency inflation kit which I assume comes with Fiat vans?
The plug doesnt fit any sockets in the van!
I suspect the Italians have modelled it on an anatomical body part but didn't out practical use before “ beauty”.
Im not sure if theres a solution but thought Id mention it as if Id got a puncture Id be an annoyed stranded bunny.
Happy New Year to all and go check your tackle!

That is a plug for a standard cigar lighter there socket should be one in the cab

Hella plug type? Car cigar lighter to hella socket adapter available. Suspect 12v sockets changed to UK style types.

DONT try to run it from a socket in the back of the van. Invariably those are fused at 10amp and the pump can take 16amps. One of the 2 sockets in the dash is slightly larger to accommodate the compressor

or get a RAC900 pump that will inflate to in my case 79 psi. It does need direct connection to the battery however.

That’s no good as the kit is two stages with the first one being to pump the sealant in

It fits in the ciggy lighter sockets on the passenger's side of the Fiat's dash board. Only use it in those as they are rated higher than any others in the habitation area. You will need to switch the ignition on to make these live. I usually run my engine while it is pumping so as to make sure it does not take too much out of the engine battery.

Thanks all. Ive just changed the cab sockets as everything fell out if them .😂
Ive never seen a plug like this one but will follow leads and get an adapter.
Thanks for advice but beware if the potential problem!

Thanks, Richard.

I can confirm that is true !

You may also need an extension lead, see if you can reach the farthest wheel, I bought one after trying mine out.

The front sockets on my 2011 Ducato are fused 15A, when I tried to use the compressor to inflate my tyres the fuse blew, then I discovered the compressor takes 16A. Nice one FIAT!

Has anyone actually used one of those Fix and Go kits successfully on a MH flat tyre?

Fix and Go kits seem a good reason for insisting on a spare wheel.
