So I go and do it the right way via the bank and nothing yet. They are probably going to wait for their next bank statement. :Sad:

Maybe in some instances it takes a phone call to get them to check. We had an e-mail that says they received the loot (after our phone call), but no confirmation of booking yet. There may be another phone call in the offing.

Truly tempted

Spent 10 days in Malcesine 5 years ago and its true it is the prettiest and most interesting but all of Garda is lovely. Really tempted very new to motorhoming so will watch this thread and plan if possible to join you. Trouble is so much else to see.

I did not make contact with them, although I would have done if we hadn't heard from them by Wednesday. We sent our deposit to them on the 24th November, so it does seem that they are not rushing things.

In that case I think a phone call in a day or so may be in order. Perhaps if others are concerned about their bookings it could be done by one person on behalf of all.

We received our confirmation (from Lella) this afternoon AND a Merry Christmas greeting. But we had gee-ed them up last week.

Next stop Garda (well no... there's quite a few stops before then, including our son's place for Christmas - but you know what I mean)

We sent off our 50 euros by safe mail and got email confirmation from Butterfly. Still waiting for written confirmation.

Our "written" conformation was an attachment to the email.

Email to Butterfly asking them to confirm booking etc..........they emailed me back telling me they were sorry but as yet had not received my deposit........50 Euro note sent via secure signed for mail.
I contacted the post office they informed me that the item was in Italy on the 27th Nov. They will not make further enqiueries untill the 24th of this month....it has to have gone astray for at least 4 weeks befor any further action can be taken.

Not a happy bunny.

Sent my money by bank transfer a week before Christmas, but have not received confirmation email yet. Have emailed Butterfly again today, so fingers crossed!.

I don't think it is a problem with the camp site, they have emailed me several times keeping me updated on the non arrival of the mail.

It appears that the mail has got lost in Italy.

The problem is that the English Post Office will not contact the Italian Post Office until the post has been missing for more than 4 weeks. The English Post Office told me it could take up to a further 3 months to trace, or maybe two days!
However, they have assured me that they will try their best to find it.
