It's not quite up there with our dethleffs but it will get us back on the road. ?
Been looking for a while now with a small budget, when on a sunday afternoon internet session I saw 'Noah'. ?
It was the right marque and layout, a little on in years and fiat rather than merc, but the right price, and paupers can't be choosy!

Lynne said 'buy it'

We were in Spain, but due to fly to Edinburgh on the Wednesday to visit the daughter and granddaughter and the van is near Bournemouth!!

So I did the deal by email on Monday morning, UNSEEN?, on this 'part ex, that had no guarantee and no promises.....'

Landed in Edinburgh midnight on Wednesday. Hi daughter hi granddaughter. Thursday night on the bus to London. Friday morning on the train to, nearly, Bournemouth.
To see Noah for the first time and start the long journey back to Scotland.

Wellllll, it was cheap. We knew it would be a project, and it is....
Named 'Noah' because:-
No aircon
No power steering
No brake servo
No turbo

No problem?

Only non no, is not no damp?

It runs, and the lighter socket works, but I need to reseal both small rooflights and replace the big one.
I had new tyres fitted today, size 185 x 14! The old ones were 2002....?
Just got a new leisure battery and need to sort gas.... Make that project a long term project. I am calling in at Magnum in Grimsby on monday with a list.

So, happy, I think. Watch this space.....

Lovely project, hope the damp is just the rooflights. From the pictures it looks really nice. Love the look of the classic Hymers.

Nice that your back on the road dazz, those vans are rock solid, well the merc ones were at any rate, see you in a field somewhere mate, love to Lynne (y)

You said it - deep joy. Not for you "the engine light is on and I'm limping home". Not for you "HOW MUCH is a turbo and waste gate".

Remember Hodgesons for re-bedding the roof lights.

Interior like a luxury hotel suit.

Enjoy.

Looks smart hope that it does not become a money pit

Does it have drop down bed? If so luv the layout exactly what I’m looking for 2 long layout on sofas and drop down bed
Lovely

It’s got nice shiny hub caps...??

‘hope it all goes to plan ....?

Congratulations.
Nice looking van or should I say A class
What about painting the brown stripes grey.

Home sweet home.

Earplugs?

Not 'arf. Just staying at our lads spot, well, sleeping in the van on his drive, and nicked a couple of paracetamol. 4 hours driving at a heady speed of about 52mph and what sounded like 17,000rpm. Can't wait to sound proof it a bit.

Ta. I love the look too.
Been on the roof and there are 6 bolts from maybe a sat dish, four wide spread from summat else, a pissy little solar panel of about 30w, boiler mushroom vent, and a couple of chequer plates. All look secure 'cept the roof lights?
Got 6 tubes of pu40 from Tool station (cheers Terry) to seal everything up there.

Cheers Simon. The mercs are solid, ours is a sponge.
Can't wait for that field......

No turbo/limping, but enough £/€ thrown at what is there I reckon.......
I think I have some Hodgesons in a tub somewhere from a few years ago, open, but always ready to use again.

Interior is like a luxury hotel suite from a 70s porn movie!

Lovely

Yeah, I am in the drop down bed as I write. First night here, spent last night on the sofa, gotta try em all.
It was originally a double dinette but has been butchered a bit, exactly what we were looking for. The space is great.

Hi Darren, what a lovely Classic van JJ would be proud of you, I love that shape and it even has red on it. Hope we catch up on the road sometime.
Love to Lynne enjoy fettling it in your own time.

Congratulations.

Deffo tarting it up.
Don't know about grey, a bit too subtle.
Thought about bright orange though......
