Hi, a newbie here with a preloved 2019 Westfalia Amundsen which has a refillable gaslow bottle secured inside a gassafe container. We were given the adaptor for refilling it at handover but with no outside refill point we’re guessing we’ll have to pass the lpg refilling cable inside the cab..... if it’s long enough to reach!
Reading other threads about refillable bottles is making us anxious that lpg garages could turn us away! It could be the solution is to have an outer refill point added, however with trips to the MHF rallies in the New Forest and Thetford, there’s not much time. Thankfully our gas is still half full.
We’re based in Battle, East Sussex.
Many thanks 😊 Teresa

A few years.
You may be turned away if you have to open any door/hatch to fill. Outside point is the way ahead. I'm sure someone at one of the rallies will help.
Do you have any outside opening lockers?

Thank you! We thought that might be the case. I’ll speak to Gaslow to see what parts we need and if our local workshop could help.
The only opening locker is the cassette one which is on the opposite side. The gas bottle is secured next to the kitchen and sliding door.

I think it's most likely been taken out to fill each time . The gauge if anything like our gasit won't be very reliable!. What do you run off it if it's just a job I'm surprised anyone paid out for a refillable.

Yes, we have that piece; l’m just not sure how happy garages are going to be with the hose having to enter the cab!

i would agree with above, if they see it they are likely to stop you. as The Wino has suggested it is likely that the cylinder has been removed from the van and taken to the pump.

Hi, it supplies the two hob rings and there’s the option for it to run the fridge, however, we have a solar panel and leisure battery to help with that too if we’re not on hookup.

I wouldn’t ever fill a cylinder inside unless it was an external filler. You always get a release of gas when filling and you don’t want that in the van.

Thank you, as advised above we’ll have to take it out of the cab and fill it up outside as a temporary measure until we get an outer connection fitter.

The Gaslow gauge on the multivalve is a completely different type and works really well 👍

Please don’t start trying to fill a cylinder in your vehicle ⚠️

I think I have a filler point kicking about somewhere. Give me a shout if you think that is the route you will be going down.
