Ever since lighting was by Calor gas.
I assume you didn't get anywhere or have forgotten that you asked and received replies to what seems to be the same question last November......

He knows as a Spanish resident he should exchange his licence, and just a reminder the deadline is the end of February, I wouldn't rely on another extension you better prepare for taking a Spanish driving test. 🤔
If it's a UK registered motorhome it should be insured in the UK, and think probably illegal for you to drive it in Spain not having the correct license. 🤔
If you became a resident in the UK you would have no problems and be legal. 😁 Bob.

Bob as you know we can not exchange our licenses until we know what’s happening end of February.
The motorhome is owned and insured in my partners name who lives in the uk, I’m a named driver.
One insurance company will insure with a Spanish resident named driver.
If we get stopped it will be, insurance papers, passport, driving license, I won’t tell them I am a resident.
As for give up my residency I then go back to the 90 day rule then I’ve got to find somewhere to live in the uk.
So make sure the motorhome is insured legally and forget the rest.

The deadline to exchange your licence is the end of February, nothing has been mentioned beyond that date, after all how many extensions should they give, I think the Spanish have been very lenient and probably getting a bit fed up now, it's like all the people that had 5 years to get residency and then panic because they never knew they needed to do it .............. or maybe didn't want to believe it would happen. 🙄 Bob

You are a spanish resident . The Uk licence ,when in spain, is not legal.
If all the above applies & it is insured why do you need insurance?

*That depends on when you became a resident? If you were a resident before the transition period then it does't apply. It would only apply if you didn''t take out residency until in the transition period.

So what do you want then? I'm lost?
