I am with Comfort at moment and looking at renewal quotes. I have had some favourable quotes from Think Insurance, LV, Caravan Wise and 2Gether Isurance. Has anyone used any of these, must admit Comfort have always been competitive but I have not had their renewal yet.

I can’t use Comfort as they don’t do self build but I am with LV at the moment, a few years ago I was with 2gether insurance but I seem to remember that they don’t use the no claims discount and will not add to it or give you a certificate at the end showing your no claims discount.

I also use Comfort, but our vans are different👍

There seems to be little consistency between insurance providers.
The same provider can be good for some and not for others or the premiums competitive for one or two years and then go sour.
I was with Comfort for 7 years and each year's increase had been nominal (no claims nor change in circumstances) but they quoted £80 more for renewal even though I had driven the m/h only 230 miles. I did a bit of online searching and renewed with the CAMC at £116 less than the expiring year's premium.
Since I've never had to make a claim I don't actually know how good any of them are.

They don't offer a no claims discount but last October they did send me written confirmation of my years of no claim when I changed to another provider.

Decided to stay with Comfort, renewal has gone up by £15.00 but still very competitive

Just looking at renewals myself, Saga has gone up by £200 this year (due to a bump in another car and wife acquiring 3 points). Just had a call from AIB and quoted Highway (part of LV), £220 below Saga, so £20 cheaper despite the claim and points. All excesses and other info the same.
I'm interested to hear of others experience with AIB.

NFU for a personal service but you have to ring them and get hold of one of the reps.... Good reviews at the dreaded time you actually need to claim.

AiB were good for a while and we had both van and car insured with them. Two years ago the AiB renewal quote was over £200 more for the van and £500 more for the car than the previous year so we shopped around and went with CAMC for the van - exactly the same policy from the same underwriters and half the price AiB quoted - cheaper than the previous year. The car is now with Direct Line. I queried the increase in costs and why they were so much more expensive when we hadn't had a claim, conviction, points etc etc hadn't moved and nothing at all had changed. AiB couldn't explain it and told me to check that the cheaper policy was as good as theirs. I told them it was identical for the van, with the same underwriter and that the policy for the car was better than their policy.

We also found AiB was slow in responding to contact from existing policy holders even before COVID.

Just renewed 3 of our vehicles with AIB. All competitive and again very pleased with the result. And having a claim on our old camper, then my wife had a mInor indiscretion whist in our/mine 🙄 car. I can’t fault them….

Comfort paid out for my new A class windscreen in 2013. In 2019 they paid out when my van was hit by a breakdown truck. So just renewed with Comfort.

Just going through the Insurance renewal nightmare and LV are coming out about £70 cheaper than Comfort or saga.
Just a little bit concerned about their Brittania breakdown service as reviews not looking to good.
I did clarify that the bike rack , solar , and Awning are covered , they insisted that it would be covered by Body Kit ??
I asked could it be put on the system what Body Kit covered and they charged me £33 for the privilege.

I renewed mine last week .
Comfort came in at £30 less than last year at £340
I'd been contacted by Scenic Insurance so I asked them for a quote ---- errr --£660 :Eeek:
I told them were miles away but they said they did have a cheaper quote from Safeguard which at £465.

I've stayed with Comfort again happy that I'm paying a good price.

2019 Burstner- £49k -parked on my drive - 8000 miles a year.
I did pay another £65 for European breakdown cover now that its two years old and out of warranty.

We are with LV for all our vehicles. We have found them to be very good.

Just this minute renewed my insurance with AIB.
Cheaper than last year.
£367 a year including European Recovery and Breakdown Cover as well as Legal Protection etc etc.
They also gave me a very good quote a lot lower than Saga for my car last year,
I am sticking with them for now and not had a problem since I started with them in 2013.

Have to say i am very impressed with Comfort. 15 min phone call and all sorted for the new van. £322. T&Cs are very good also.

Hi again everyone and thanks for replies so far.
I've just had a call from Think Insurance brokers, quoting LV Insurance another £20 cheaper. All excesses still the same.
Tempted to go with LV, through Think.
Anyone have any experience of Think?

Never heard of Think.
TBH for the sake of saving £1.60 a month I'd stick with my current insurer.

Just insured via Think insurance - very pleased with quote and cover - spoke to David Turner very helpful
Breakdown cover UK & EU - Driver Guardian - used for few years now - thankfully never needed them 🤞
