It’s that time again, need to renew and starting the process. LV quote around 250 and Adrian flux 1350 so just mystified why there is such a chasm between them. Trying NFU next but any other real recommendations would be appreciated!

Another vote for comfort, got a big reduction in this years renewal.

Adrian Flux again? Going by the avatar it looks like a regular coachbuilt, is there something we don't know or are they getting very greedy?

Hello all and thanks for the rapid responses. My fault, I should have said we are upgrading from the Coachbuilt to an A Class hence hustling for a new unknown price. I appreciate all your responses and will be trying Comfort next but I have heard that they wont carry over NCB so did not start with them. I will keep you posted and thanks for the interest.

I have just had a quote for Insurance and breakdown from LV and for a similar specification as Comfort they are £100 cheaper at £255 with Legal and UK breakdown .
Is there something I have missed? windscreen cover unlimited , breakdown up to 7.5 tonne , length up to 8 metres , no mention of alarm or tracker, seems too good.
Anyone had experience good/ bad with LV.

Comfort may not carry over your no claims but it states on the policy what no claims you had when started with them.

Been through all this rigmarole LV was well expensive as were most ot the others CG and Comfort were the closest , some were even over a grand , so I went with Comfort at 488 including euro cover ,I have seen a lot of quotes a lot less than I paid but I have a Manchester Post code so that might account for the higher premium , good luck with your merry dance .

If you can get an A class insured for £250, presuming it will be £40K + poss ++

take it quick, it’s a bargain 👍

Another vote for Comfort.

When we joined them we had a maximum NCD and asked what would happen if and when we left them. They stated that they would provide a statement regarding the NCD we carried over to them.

Since then they have been so competitive on pricing that we have stayed with them. Last year our pr3mium dropped by £68.

Sounds like they are simply pricing themselves out of the market.
IE: we don't want motorhome business.
NFU did it quite a few years ago with American RVs.

We were with Comfort for a few years but they re quite greedy with Morocco etc.

They don't do no claims but they will discount similarly based on what no claims you have so effectively it works out the same. Mine was £340 for a brand new Burstner.

NFU maybe ok if you have 2 hours to spare to get a quote, that ends up with "Seriously"

Have said before if you use a broker for LV insurance the same T&Cs do not apply as if you buy direct from LV.

As an example the LV direct windscreen cover is to the value of the vehicle, via broker there is a limit might be £1k, not enough for an A class screen.

Can't recall what the broker version is called.
