Increasing GTW

Is it possible to increase the GTW of a motorhome, without reducing the Weight of the vehicle?

Example.
A 3500kg van
Current GTW 5500
Want to keep van at 3500 but be able to tow a trailer plated at 2600, meaning a GTW of 6100 is required

Is this possible in any way?

but if vehicle is a lowered greater gv w vehicle it may have a higher train available .
sv tec or others are the key. but dont hold your breath .

Yeah need to keep the van at the current weight.

usually if its a dropped gvw they do retain the original train weight . looks like yours is not one .

Do you actually need that heavy a trailer or is that just its plated weight?
If not try downplating the trailer or getting a lighter one.

Yeah Jay, we do actually need the bigger trailer. It's for a car but there are 6 of us so needs to be a bigger car, which when combined with the trailer weight takes us over.

Train weight cant be increased....but it can be reduced.

SV Tech is probably the only people who can tell you but I wouldn't think it is possible as quite apart from anything else, it's not the pulling power but the stopping power that is important and increasing the weight of what you are towing would put a lot more pressure on the tow vehicles brakes etc whilst stopping/slowing etc, not to mention if you had to do an emergency stop.

Train weight cant be increased....but it can be reduced.

Haven't actually got the car yet (have a merc ml 7 seat but that's over 2tonne kerb weight), as we have to replace our old beaten up scenic.
Would be looking at another 7 Seater but looking at the kerb weights of the cars are over 1500kg, plus we'd need to put a few things in there as no payload in van (currently use a small trailer for things).
So we'd probably need to allow 1700 odd. The trailers I've looked at seem to be around 500kg so that means around 2200kg.

Our limit is 2000.

4 children. And we use the box trailer to keep everything in whilst travelling.
