For the second time since changing our Carthago I have been contacted by a Fiat garage and they have told me that my registration number brings up the incorrect vehicle on the Fiat website. I thought that after the first time it would have been sorted. I have a private plate and when the garage input the number it comes up as our previous Carthago. I have it booked in for a recall at Haynes in Maidstone next Friday morning on the way back to Yorkshire. They have told me that the parts may not have arrived from Italy by then, the recall is for the loose intercooler sleeve. Can anyone tell me if that involves new parts, I am worried that they have got muddled with our previous van. I spoke to them yesterday but my mobile reception was rubbish.

Don’t they use the VIN number for recalls. Sounds like it’s the garage that has the problem not Fiat.

Thanks.
I have telephoned them on a landline this morning so managed to check that they have the details they need. When I first booked they just took my registration number, this didn’t match the recall that I had it booked in for. It’s definitely the intercooler sleeve, I just hope it arrives in Maidstone before we do.
