That amp is just begging you to plug a turntable in.........Plenty of good stuff there. Could be my vinyl collection now in the loft. Robert Cray, Bowie, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Count Basie, Blue Nile, Dylan, Ian Durie……..I could go on. No longer have a turntable.
I’ve gone modern these days, purchased a Ruark 4 a few years ago, awesome bit of kit

I used to have a Linn Sondek LP12 but my vinyl record collection got so large there was no room when I married. so it was the turntable or the better half. That was 25 years ago. If the choice was to me made now……………That amp is just begging you to plug a turntable in.........

Linn Sondeck, very nice! They are a mad price these days. I clearly remember my first setup which my dad helped me buy, secondhand from the classified section of the Manchester Evening News in 1977. I’d inherited a small amount as well. Pioneer SA500-A amp, Goldring Lenco GL75 turntable and a pair of Marsden Hall speakers. The only reason dad chipped in was he didn’t want me near his kit! Think we paid about £70 for the whole lot which was a lot of money back then.I used to have a Linn Sondek LP12 but my vinyl record collection got so large there was no room when I married. so it was the turntable or the better half. Blimey, I used more than that on gas alone yesterday! Fixed tariff ran out quite a while back, stuck on the standard rate for foreseeable future . I’m fortunate we can afford it but I know a fair few who are having to make some pretty drastic decisions.I've been splashing out with my heating today. Fortunately still on September 2021 tariff and will be until September 23.

Back in the 70s and 80s I was a real hifi nutter. I went through a stack of gear including Leak and Quad amps (33/405) A&R, Wharfedale, Celestion and Mission speakers, turntable arms and cartridges (SME type whatever and Shure V15) etc.Linn Sondeck, very nice! Almost forgot, added a Sony Cassette-Corder TC-134SD a bit later, which were blatantly marketed as a great way of copying your mates LPs!
