in France atm , we nearly had a stow away

So we are currently away in France in our MH ( PVC ) which is fitted with both front and rear recording cameras with the rear view also active on the interior mirror all the time.
So minding our own business while I am following my sat on our way to a WWII bunker in Ouistreham.
We come to a mini round about where I notice a group of about 5 youths just hanging out on my right hand side at the entrance / braking zone of the mini roundabout , luckily for me I did not have to give way at the round about , as when I was just entering and driving around the roundabout I seen that one of the group had been hiding behind a tree , ready to jump onto any British vehicle that stopped at the roundabout, when I watched back the footage I seen that he had actually jumped out and began to chase after us ( our MH ) as we drove through the roundabout and even for a little bit after it.
I managed to cut the exact clip from the CCTV and have uploaded it here :

It was only after the guy stopped running after us that I realised why , Infront of us was a ferry terminal lol , I'd been to busy paying attention to the sat nav directions to notice any ferry signs.

That is the roundabout just after the filling station and Lidl's, surprised there was only one..... its horrendous trying to drive thro that area and concentrate on the road whilst watching for unwanted visitors.......... their ingenuity is frightening!!!!

He could have caused you some damage or even to himself if he had fallen off under a following vehicle.
He was certainly dressed for a sprint.

Nope no bike rack , here is a picture of the back of the MH.
I think it's just a case of they see a British number plate and say to themselves that's my ticket.

I wonder what he was going to hang onto ,that's assuming he wasn't hoping to get into the van.
Looking at your picture again I suppose he could have held on to the door handle standing on the rear valance or tow bar Must be very desperate.

Personally i think he was just having a sprint. I know they might be desperate but they aren't stupid. Anyone would know that you would feel someone jumping on the back of a moving vehicle. Theres nothing there for him to hold on to or hide under.

Looks like the roundabout by the entrance to the Pommiers campsite. Large groups have been occupying the ditch at the side of the road for several years.

I honestly think that he was hiding just behind the tree like 15ft Infront of his friends who prob shouted at him "NOW" and he just started to run after me , btw the ferries we like the length of a french motorway slip road , so he would of just wanted to stay on the rear until I entered for the ferry then get himself above or below the van ( that's if I was going for the ferry ^^ ) instead we were on our way to a WWII bunker
