Our TV is mounted midship so can be viewed from rear lounge or front dinette, however that means if using rear lounge we tend to need the volume a little high, which generated a mild complaint from a nearby camping couple one hot evening when windows & doors were all open
I’ve installed a pair of small speakers in the rear lounge area which plug into the TV headphone socket, however whilst working I’m not getting sufficient volume from the speakers
I’m sure there must be someone on here with a knowledge of electronics & speakers, all joints were soldered and not dry connected

We bought one of those but sent it back, didn’t like the sound at all.
Bluetooth can have a delay unless using a Firestick where you can adjust the latency.

Yes, l wasn’t suggesting this model it was a simple example as a answer to the OP’s problem, you get what you pay for.

Thanks all for suggestions, not sorted yet but going down the route of installing a 12v amplifier to drive sound to speakers

I'm thinking about one of these to improve the sound quality.
Do you know what voltage they operate at please and can they be left permanently connected to power ?

Thanks 👍
The unit is charged by a USB A to USB C cable that is supplied however you need to provide your own 230v plug with USB output.

The alternative is to either use a 12v step down or plug it into a USB socket on the TV (this is what we will do).

They do not recommend the unit is left permanently charging as with all L-ion batteries it can shorten their lifespan.

The manufacturer advises a 24hr usage on one a full charge but .........? When on battery power it will automatically switch off after c30 minutes of inactivity.

If you are interested in the Soundcore 3 Amazon have refurbished units with a 12 month warranty on sale a £35.89 -10% voucher https://www.amazon.co.uk/Soundcore-...nology-Waterproof/dp/B08VDRF1F2/?tag=mhf04-21

I bought one and delivery expected on Saturday.

User manual for it attached.

edit: ps there is an app available for it to make changes to various settings.

The unit arrived on Saturday and it took a couple of minutes to download the app, connect it to the laptop (and mobile) and set it up. Despite being refurbished it does look like new!

I know it's only a day or so but quite impressed with it. Sound quality is very good (considering it's physical size) and no apparent time lag.(y)

Overall, seems to be well worth the money.

Mine arrived a few days ago and I'm quite impressed with it, even the Alphatronic tv remote control operates the volume on it.
It does get a bit of out sync on speech though, I wondered if you found this ?

We've got Cello and Ferguson TVs and not experienced any timing issues.
Same with laptop.

Replaced these as our tv speakers about 7-8 years ago and they are still going strong connected to a desktop pc.(y)
Best (very) budget speakers I've heard for the money.:notworthy2:

I have a pair of, what would now be called "vintage" Sony SRS 51 speakers, battery powered & wired they work vert well.
Nearest example I can find: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/37529611...pid=5339023013&customid=&toolid=10001&mkevt=1

You could look for vintage or a more modern alternative is wired PC speaker and power from a power pack.

Example: There are many other options.

enough to know i shouldnt touch things i know nothing about ....
i solved the issue by installing additional tv points in both the lounge area and bedroom area, our sat dish has a twin LNB so i just used one of each of the sat dish feeds to each outlet (aswell as normal tv aerial) - its a lot more work obviously and also involves having two tv brackets - just using the back off one of them.
it means we can watch tv comfortably and no excessive sound to disturb 'neighbours' as the volume dosent need to be loud to reach the other end of the motorhome. watching tv via the internet obviously doesnt need the sat or aerial connections

We use a Bose Soundtouch 10, never had an issue. You can get a decent preloved one from CEX for about £82 with a 2 year warranty. Ensure your TV is bluetooth enabled as not many over priced Avtex models are.
