Hi team, I am not having a good time with social media in general and to be frank I spend way too much time on the 'puter. I have finished with the few Facebook groups that I belong to and now the final purge is MHF

I have enjoyed my time on here over the years but there is no real need for me to be here anymore as (for the 2nd time!) we do not have a 'van right now and my membership expires anyway in a few days time.

Good luck everyone, I do hope the future improves for everyone and that you all get to use your 'vans some time in the not too distant future.

Katy and I will continue to sail (that would be nice haha!) for a few more years yet. We also have in mind buying a VW T6 and making a simple conversion for short 'non boaty' adventures when all the dust has settled.

All the best

Grahame xx

Sorry to read this, some of your comments will be missed, but I wish you all the best for your future whatever it holds.

Like you I have the exactly the same thoughts since CV
If there was a ‘delete account’ button I would have pressed it loads of times

However when I wake up in the morning the first thing I look forward to is catching up with all my Funster Friends

Shall miss you if you decide to go

Hope you decide to stay

Robert Clark , you have changed in my estimation this last month, in my eyes you were a guy who had made it good in whatever you do , loads of money and really enjoy the open road and the finer dining no matter the cost, now in just a few small weeks you have gone from globe trotting to selling your van and would even consider leaving here.
I am sure everyone would miss you and your trips, and photos if you did decide to go.
Don't know what it is you do and don't want to pry, but has this lockdown really been that bad for business.
Maybe I have formed the wrong impression of so I'm sorry.
But would hate to see you go, it would be a big loss to the forum.

I’m not going anywhere soon

The point I was trying to make is that when life gets you down, everything looks better tomorrow

Best wishes to you both. :(

I REALLY hope that even as non-members you pop on to read and keep 'aware' of us all. Sad. :(

Understand and often feel that safe havens arn't such, but there is so much love and support from good people that saying goodbye would be hard when the time comes. PLease look after yourselves/each other and stay safe. You WILL be missed by many.

Chockswahay Grahame I will miss your bread ,your phooning and general chat ( even the hilarious ignoring thread.)

I’m of the ilk that with the world changing as it is we will probably all need media as a social event even more .

Just pick and choose as and when .

Safe boating journeys Robs family had yaghts in Dartmouth for years but after a certain age the cost and physical managing and sailing became untenable , so perhaps we will see you back here with a MH in the future.
Take care both of you.?

Sorry to read this Chockswahay maybe you just need to go awol for a bit, the forum can be a saviour and a stress at times, a whole host of different people from all walks of life, advantaged, disadvantaged, privileged underprivileged, at times happy, at times sad, we all have to cope with life’s stresses. Just take a break and come back when and if you feel you want to. Meanwhile good luck with whatever you do next.

Chockswahay It feels like I'm losing a good friend, especially since you started the Ooops thread. I believe there is a life outside Motorhome Fun so go my son and seek it out. It's certainly not the same without a motorhome or caravan. I'm glad you didn't go without saying goodbye. Best of Luck.

I will miss your bread threads although I have not tried to make any yet. Only this morning I set about my first attempt at making my sourdough starter. so will see how that goes.
Wish you the best of luck with the boating.
Steve
