Mooching about this afternoon and have now illuminated my steps into the motorhome.
On the left of the foot well is a light.....It's on some sort of timer.Off in the middle,up for 10 seconds and down for approx 25 seconds.It comes on as soon as the door is opened,
It's a piece cake to wire a strip of waterproof led's under the top step and into the back of the light fitting....Open the door and the steps are lit as is the foot well....after 25 seconds all go out until the door is opened again.........Just a thought !!.

Not sure where the wires are but I have a white LED strip which illuminates the steps from behind the Motorhome skirt and each of the two steps have a strip of blue LEDs inside the non slip rubber on each step.
Looks good at night
