My dogs have a qr code in their tag and when scanned leads to their web page with info and pictures etc. Also the standard surname, phone and house no and post code.

i love the idea of making it easy to reunite a lost dog and owner using a web page etc. just very cautious of giving a thief a head start knowing the name and all details of your dog
dog theft and kidnapping is a growth industry europe wide. how much will you pay to get your dog back? if you dont pay up, they sell the dog on, its all about making money

You're right to an extent but if somebody is going to steal a dog, it's likely they'll do so regardless of knowing its name etc. Plenty of dogs don't answer to their name. I changed both of my dogs' names when i adopted them and htey immediately answered to them - even though the one in my avatar had been called his previous name for his first six months, including 5 of them whilst living with me.

How do you get a QR code?

I got mine through "Homeward Bound" web site, but during this chat cannot find them anymore. It appears as though they have stopped trading or changed name, but my details are still logged and the code works to get you to homeward bound web site. I don't know how to get in contact with them if I ever needed to replace the TAG. Maybe just use one of the others that came up when searching QR Pet ID Tags.
