Lots now
We have had a Suzuki address 110cc scooter for 3 years. It’s done the job beautifully getting us from a to b and easy to get in and out of the motorhome garage.
However it fails sometimes on the hills and longer journeys in the speed and arse comfort department.
We want something bigger but still be able to load it into our motorhome garage.
Any recommendations ?
Thank you.

KTM390 perhaps as it's quite light but heavier than the Address.
Or, a bigger capacity (150cc plus)scooter which will be heavier. Plenty of makes to choose from.

One of these. 😜

Thanks. We need it to be comfortable for both of us plus I like the idea of extra storage for the grocery shopping. I feel this means a scooter.

Do you have a full motorcycle licence? How tall is the garage?
How about a Honda Forza 350? May be a bit tall at 1507mm, but that’s with the screen on. Don’t know if you can modify the screen or fit a shorter one. They’re about 190kg but may be OK in your Morelo.

I have a suzuki address we take on holiday in the garage.

I wanted a toy/commuter and gave myself a budget of £3K, looked about and my decision came down to comfort for me and the mrs on a bit of a tour (I get a bad back occasionally, like the last 3 days)

I bought Honday Forza 300. Really comfy, far more comfy than the address.

And, it sneaks into the motorhome if you take off the top box plate or you put it diagonally in the garage, neither of which endears me into wanting to them so i dont. If your garage is slightly wider than a rollerteam 690 and you have the weight capacity, I would recommend it, if youre interested in not cruising over 80mph.

Ought to add it takes 2 helmets under the seat plus another 2 in the double top box to give you some idea of space for shopping

We have plenty of payload plus I have a full licence.

Top box, for us, has to come off the address to go into garage, and same for Forza. Its about an inch too long with the top box plate on it to go into the garage which is according to the internet

Garage Dimensions 215cm long by 130cm high and 120cm wide.

I remember it was a "twiddle" on the handles to get it through the door, but think i have to do that with the address. It is significantly heavier than the address which you can nigh on pick up and put in there. Ramp for us, and it wasnt an issue as drove it up the ramp with me on the side, if that makes sense

Too tall though
I think the newer than my Forza have an electric reclining screen which goes down the height or mine so would get in a 130cm garage.

I think you can upgrade to the reclining screen

Here are a few to look at

Honda SH300i, will do over 80 easily if you are in a hurry, big wheels, handles well.

I use a Honda SH125, does fine for the run to shops and some ‘exploring’ on narrow country roads. Shopping bag fits well in the footwell. Big wheels for the bumps and potholes. And not too heavy at around 127kg.

I would be very surprised if your garage is lower than a Roller team. Are you going by the Scooter manufacturers dims? this will include everything with it sat on the centre stand, You can take the mirrors and topbox off and maybe drop the screen a bit. You should also measure the garage height as a larger scooter will go through the door because its leaning back on entry. with a bit of fiddling I could get an Aprilia 300 in our previous arto and it easily goes in the clou

Ok I am biased as it isn't my KTM for sale but....😎
Pre purchase in 2018 I did substantial research and tried loads of scooters, Honda was top of the list, Yamaha, Suzuki, Vespa, Peugeot etc but upon test ride / inspection they were all too tall, too heavy, didn't have enough oomph or not enough storage. My remit was for it to fit in the Carthago garage but not occupy the whole garage allowing push bikes etc to fit as well and not gobble up all the payload. It also had to have enough power to cruise at motorway speeds if needed and climb the tallest passes in Austria two up. Having had a Bergman 400 previously and really liking that bike I did some digging, not a cats chance, too heavy by far and the screen is not easily removable. Another consideration is how the weight sits when you are loading, on a ramp, levelling ramps down on the most uneven pitch in Europe, those extra few kgs high can be quite a handful. Whilst exploring the Bike show searchingly for inspiration I came across the Shad expanding top box. A tardis type box that can be low or high level, thus allowing two full, face or flip up helmets... pure genius tbh.... that box went on the "maybe an option list"... I had pretty much reluctantly settled on the Honda PCX 125, it ticked all the boxes except for enough power so I was scouring the scooter forums finding out how the young people change the cones in the gearbox to get more speed out of them... whilst also talking to my spanner man about a remap for it! For full disclosure I must also say at that time I rode bikes professionally, 5 days a week for a large Uk motorcycle manufacturer. In that role I rode a lot of bikes for a lot of miles... on one of those rides I came across a colleague in Wales (as you do) and he was running in a Duke 390 for work. We hooked up on the intercom for a chat whilst riding and I said "what's it like?".... "a ruddy hoot" or words to that effect was the response. So at the next fuel stop we swopped bikes... and I pretty much rode it all the way back home refusing to give it him back 🤣 That little bike was indeed a "hoot" to ride, remarkably brisk speed due to the low weight, great handling and brakes and also small.... but with more than enough room for my big backside and my Kylie size wife on the back.
So... that evening a call to the colleague requesting him to "get the tape measure out and measure the highest point excluding the mirrors please"... and the answer was it would fit!
My mind also went back to that Shad topbox, and yes they did a bracket for the 390 and also a soft pannier kit...
Job done, bike and parts were ordered 😬
3000+ miles later it has all been good, once I got it remapped to cure the very lean mixture which I couldn't live with in town, (tooooo many miles on work bikes makes me very fussy).
The bike is still a hoot, the Mrs loves the fact she can lean against a large topbox so she feels safe, it has done more Motorway miles than we thought without issue, some of those Spanish campsites are miles away from the cities.... The luggage solution works perfectly, top box is in small mode whilst we are travelling, once we arrive at the destination the helmets go in the box or locked onto the wheel. The jackets glove size etc go in the box or the soft panniers and we are free to walk around in T shirts and armoured jeans and little boots. I am not a trainers and shorts rider whatever the temperature... On the return trip we stop at the local shop to get essential supplies and they easily fit in the topbox ....in a cool bag.. we learnt that trick in the heatwave summer 19. Black topbox, 35c, 20 min ride back to the van = warm beer and dodgy food 😢
This isn't a sales pitch for my 390 btw, just an explanation from a young old man who over thinks everything thought process on finding the right bike / scooter for the van.

Some might ask if it is so good why am I selling it... the ruddy salesman lent me the 790 whilst the 390 was in for a service 🤣🤣🤣 The 790 is everything the 390 is and more, faster, bigger, heavier, longer... it does fit in the van but I sure do notice the extra weight when loading it. Luckily we have the payload and just about the space to fit it in, but I will need a rib protector to stop her digging me, "slow down a bit" 🤣
Sorry for the long post but thought it might help in the decision process, good luck finding the right bike / scooter.
Cheers

Just measured and the forza 300 will just fit.

Yamaha Xmax 300. Not sure if it would fit your garage. Excellent performance.

Tidy, it looks a nice scooter to be fair, a bit heavy at 182KG but most of that will be real low so easy to move.
it may be more cumbersome getting it into the garage but with 2 of us I believe it would work.

Mines a 2014 so later models have the electronic screen, which, in hindsight, would have been a consideration for me.
The top box to match with the colour scheme is extremely expensive.
By all accounts she goes up to 90 but I tend to cruise 70-75 and up to 80 with spare left to overtake.
Dont even notice the wife on the back and she is about

Petrol gauge goes down very quickly after a 1/4 so I carry a spare litre just in case.
I would buy one again mainly because of the comfort and lack of pressure on my back.

I would be really tempted, whatever you do, to take the motorhome and the ramp to the motorbike dealers and load the bike in there.

We also use a long steel cord that we put our armoured jacket and trousers onto, through the legs and arms, when shopping in a town and lock up with a D lock so we can walk around in shorts and t shirt.

Only done it the once, and pushed it right through. Would not like to take it out backwards which have had to do with Address a couple of times but wife can just pick up the back and realign it, she couldnt with the Forza. No issues loading with engine on, loading it up single crewed. Best to do it double crewed til used to it I would think
