This is a real strange one. I have put some water in the fresh tank which feeds the kitchen, bathroom, shower and toilet flush and the water is pumped by the usual pressure sensing pump which, when a tap is turned on registeres the drop in pressure and turns on thus making the water flow.

Over the last few weeks when I check the camper I have found a couple of inches of water in the toilet bowl on several occasions. I am certain I have not inadvertently pressed the toilet flush button and this is working properly. No water is coming from the other taps but of course they are higher. The toilet flush being the lowest in the system. This is happening whether the main control panel is off or on. So it’s a real mystery. I checked again a little while ago and yes there was a couple of inches of water in the bowl even though the elecrrics had not been on. I wonder if anyone had been similarly haunted.
I have left the electricity off tonight and ensures the bowl is empty. I will check in the morning and if there is water in the bowl I will experiment by disconnecting the power leads to the pump and see if that makes a difference. The theory being that even though the electrics are off and the flush button disabled as a result there may still be a live connection to the pump which is somehow shorting and causing the pump to run for a moment or two.

I will report back but any ideas appreciated.

Dribbling toilet solinoid valve releasing stored pressure in the pipework into the toilet bowl.
Leave it long enough with the electrics turned on and the bowl will overflow as once pressure drops the pump will repressurise the system.
Electrics off and it will only leak what's under pressure in the pipes.

Very likely the solenoid is letting the stored pressure leak into the bowl, not difficult to replace but tedious, us use a small stool outside and find the screws using a mirror.
Presume there is no colour in the liquid or is a ghost's wee wee clear!?

Hi.
If it was coloured, although you could not see the Ghost, you would see this "Blob" of water moving about. I don't know what would scare me most.........     (y)

More
likely that the valve that feeds the toilet and is opened when you flush the toilet is leaking slightly - thus overtime water seeps through into the bowl as the system equalises the pressure in the pipe! You’ll need to change the seal on this valve

any one got any info on how to replace the electric water valve on the thetford toilet c200 c250 cant seem to find any info only you have to use a mirror from the cassete housing and the valve is under the bowl ..info would be great if any one has it i have looked on yutube and on there website not a lot on it .....

I have had this. A bit of grit in the solenoid valve making it not seal properly. Giving it a good flush may shift it. Did in my case.

Is that what they call ghoul stones??

Just 2 wires and the inlet & outlet water pipes to disconnect. If you have a pressure system make sure pump is turned off and you depressurise it first or you will get wet.

I'll just correct this for you ...

Yippee a toilet thread

Probably a faulty solenoid on the toilet, even with the pump turned off there will be enough pressure in the system put water in the bowl if the solenoid is not shutting off properly.
try a ; bum ; on the seat, or some bright sparke. please be seated, or not another co-- up? ok.pj.
