Just had the the reminder for my sisters car. This coming year it will be £399
    On line £164 Saving: £235.00

At the same had a reminder re my Norton security. This coming year £49.95
Told them I was cancelling! Now down to £24.95 Saving : £25.00

The moral is don't take the first price they offer and don't be afraid to shop around

I don't insure my sister's car nor would I touch Norton security software... not even with your computer...

See... I have just saved £260 more than you.

agree with most on this , make sure you are getting the same cover and also wait till everything is confirmed as insurance firms are prone to tell porkies on line then put it up later, also you could save a bit more by cancilling your norton alltogether(y)

I trust you will get many a varied opinion and mine is AVG. There is a free version which covers the basics or the paid version which protects you from all manor or threats.

If you have automatic renewal for Norton and want to turn it off logon to your online Norton account - billing information - click the dustbin to delete your payment method and you should get a box pop up then put tick in turn off automatic renewal.

I shopped around as well, got my car insurance down from £550 a year to £260, a saving of £290.00

then followed it up with a new phone package and saved myself £5.50 a month... every little helps!

How do you know ? There could be all sort of nasties lurking. I wouldn't do any banking or online payments with a free AV solution.

There are plenty of viruses about for Macs. Don't be too complacent. All the AV companies emply Mac experts.
