Any one know much about this? Apparently pro connect comes free for 3 years. I presume there is a sim in the vehicle which allows tracking. Will I be able to use this with an imported vehicle? Was considering getting a cheapo with sim and the ability to geofence, but may not need to. ta Tom

No, just getting excited. It's supposed to be ready week before brexit. Or I,m shagged with WTO import taxes. Jealous of u guys watchin the tour. Will keep an eye out for u on telly if u are on mountain?

Thank you for contacting Mercedes PRO connect.

It is correct that your service partner can activate you for Mercedes PRO connect Camper. However, the services there are currently only limited to the headunit. This means that you can only use the multimedia and navigation services in the MBUX. (Live Traffic Information / Online Radio / Internet in the Car...) From 01.08.2019 the vehicles will be created on Mercedes me connect, so that you can use all services. The location services are then also possible there. You can ask your service partner to connect your vehicle to Mercedes me connect. For some vehicles it is already possible today, but we can offer you support in case of problems only from August, because it is not officially supported yet.

Hello Tom,
Because this is a Mercedes service, it must be done by an official Mercedes Benz partner.
The positioning services can then be viewed on the Mercedes me portal and the Mercedes connect app. Geofences can also be set and you will be notified by email and / or SMS if there is an infringement.

I bought a tracker and a lifetime use for a lot of money. Three years in they phoned me up saying the warranty had expired and offered a continuation for £30 per year. I did ask if they they were preparing to remotely kill it if I declined, she said 'Oh no we would not do that'. If the tracker needed replacing the lifetime membership also dies and that was a bit pricey. Are they that likely to do it to me.
