I'm having the HPC system installed in June on my Bailey AA 794T.
Can you leave the van 'in the air' for long periods of time? i.e. in storage or parked. A good security feature?

Yes and Yes.

The ground at the side of our house slopes off quite a bit so our van is always parked up with the jacks extended.
Had the nod that it was okay to do that from Mick at SAP.

Supplemental question.. Do you carry those substantial blocks of wood around with you? Are the 'pads' generally enough surface area to spread the weight without sinking?

SAP is one to ask, they know all things about levellers.
We have air suspension and levellers fitted by SAP and put it in parking mode on the drive which lowers it down so much that no tea leaf could get at the catalyst.

No, the blocks are for home use so I do not have to extend the jacks so far to obtain level on our driveway.
We have been pitched up on some very soft ground a couple of times with no real problems and in fact as the jacks are taking the weight of the wheels and tyres, then on softer ground when you go to leave your pitch the tyres have had no time to sink in, so your not trying to drive out of a rut.

Fair comment...

HPC has a ‘stabilise‘ setting that you leave it parked in. It takes the weight off the tyres whilst leaving them lightly in contact with the ground.
We leave ours in storage on this setting. Well done on choosing the HPC system, you’ve obviously done your homework.
We have never found it necessary to use blocks, even on softish ground.
Regarding leaving it up in the air, we left ours up on all four jacks for a few days while we had the wheels painted. I left stands underneath, just in case but it never moved.
We had ours fitted by AS in Warrington, highly recommended, and they gave us a full demonstration of all the functions.

Okey Dokey.. HPC system is now installed and I'm very pleased with it.

One question... Once I've pressed 'store' and the legs have retracted (light goes out on the dash), I release the hand break to drive off. I then hear some whirring from the jacks for a couple of seconds.
This 'whirring' happens every time I release the handbrake, during normal driving.. this seems a little odd to me. Its almost as if the system has detected I'm trying to leave in an emergency and it tries to retract the jacks.

Does it need looking at or do they all do this??
