Easy peesy oh very old one. Done online, £80 but no charge to put on replacement motorhome oh you said you weren’t doing that didn’t you :giggler: :giggler:

Very easy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

You can or must put your private plate on retention cert if selling the MoHo first.
if not just leave on van till its needed
You can't put private plate on new vehicle until you have the new V5 back registered to you.
its all very simple on line.

Providing it’s not going on to an older plate unless it’s a dateless plate

Unless you have it registered as disabled old-mo
In which case, I think it has to be unregistered disabled first & then it can be done online in 5mins

old-mo and you thought you were the only comic on here!

One web site i have found very easy to use is the DVLA site.
Changed plates on cars many many times both direct (new car) and from retention.

When you take it off the old vehicle and pay £80 they usually give you the old registration back. I always keep the removed plates as it saves buying new ones.

That's not correct you can have put on a new vehicle at first registration, I've done it.
My apologies Lenny I forgot no one buys pre registered vehicles these days
