Hi guys,
Likewise, I Hope your all raring to go to the Show today!
But for me I’ve one more problem to try and solve, As I bought my van at the end of last winter time, it was obviously drained down, but I’m trying to prime the hot water heater, I can’t get the pump to pump the hot water through to fill the boiler at all, if I try the cold it pumps really powerfully on all taps and some hot will come from the hot tap when running the cold but if I turn off cold the hot will stop flowing immediately , am I missing something? Should I check the fuse as it hasn’t been used for 8 mths or so, (according to the seller), bare in mind its an AutoTrail Mohican (2000) an older model so the plumbing set up is probably different to the more modern vans.
Tia 👍

If the pump is still running it does take a long time to get the air out of the boiler.
As long as the frost dump valve is closed, open all taps on hot and it should splutter into life

Does the tap have micro switches? Is water draining out underneath through the boiler drain/safety valve? Just keep the hot tap open for a few minutes to see if any air lock clears

Start from scratch again, check the drain tap is closed, fill tank, close all the taps then start with the cold on one closest to the pump, when that is running close it and go to the next one.
When you've done that start again with the hot side, then it would be safe to turn the boiler on if needed. It always takes longer for the hot side to come through as it has the boiler to fill.

I’m the same as above.

Water in tank, pump on, check for water under van, then one cold tap, get water supply, next cold tap, and so on, including toilet flush. Then I go tap to tap with the hot side of the tap. Get a good flow. Then turn on boiler.

Like I said an earlier reply, I can’t find a drain down tap/dump valve anywhere 😩

The pump doesn’t even try to work when the hot water tap is activated 🤷

Thank you all for your help, I shall have another look underneath for a drain tap/valve and start from scratch, failing that I’ll be off to the technician on my return home, maybe it’s a simple fix but being an older van it could be an expensive project, this years golf membership could be in jeopardy 😩

So your problem is that the pump, doesn’t pump when you operate the hot tap??

Is this the same with all taps?
I assume you have a pump inside the tank, not outside of it?
Can you see any wires hanging down under any of your taps? (Possibly behind drawer etc.)

No wire at all just blue and red water pipes, no micro switches either🤔

I think I now understand the problem, thanks to the observant eye of an ex-cop lol! He had pretty much the same problem but his drain plug had recently failed and leaked water and he came over yesterday and noticed that my drain plug was actually missing !, so I have now ordered x2(1 for stock) hopefully I’ll be able to get it going upon my return home on Monday 🤞…Thanks John👍
