I don’t know the answer to your question. But greetings peeps

On control panel I can see twin battery symbol but I’m not sure

When hooked up do the lights go to 100% on both battery displays?

Leave it on charge overnight and then check. The displays suggest both cab and leisure batteries are at the same state of charge but on its own this doesn't mean both are now being charged.

If both show an increase in charge over time you will have you answer.

If you have solar you could repeat the experiment - if you see some sun of course. :)

I can't see the point in it showing the state of charge in the engine battery (pic 1) if it isn't also charging it.
Pic 2 is hab battery.

I found manual book today in all paperwork I have I firstly checked the control panel after being plugged into mains for 24 hours and leisure battery has gone up one green dot but engine start battery still same so only thing it says in book is these batteries are fitted with a joined relay between them and when engine runs both batteries charge and once engine is turned off you then use leisure battery it won’t drain engine battery so if I’m write this means that the engine battery won’t charge up from the 240v mains only when engine runs if this is case is it worth fitting a trickle charge to the start battery to keep it topped up if not in use ?

If I've understood you, your engine battery won't charge when on hook up or on solar. That is almost the same as our Bailey. On hookup, it will only charge up the leisure battery. On solar, it will charge both leisure and engine.
So we had a Battery master fitted. Now, when we are on hookup, or using solar, the engine battery is charged as well as the leisure battery. Can buy the Battery Master from the site. There are similar devices available, some that work on different principles but achieve the same thing.
Good luck.

The engine battery might only start to receive a trickle charge once the hab batteries are fully charged...?

Yeah ill
Leave it plugged in at moment then check it later this evening

Normally, the cab battery will receive a trickle charge all the time. If you have a multimeter, or can borrow one, you could check the cab battery. Check it with the hook up turned off then turn it on and see if the voltage goes up.

As ingwe said I could get a battery master fitted but I’m wondering if it’s worth just fitting a foldable dash solar panel on dash board and connect it to start battery just to trickle charge it to keep it topped up I’m off up Nec show Sunday so prob look for something

I’ve seen this done, but the beauty of the Battery Master is it’s fit and forget. Easily fitted and that’s it.

We have a 2014 Chausson on a Ford base with a pretty similar display to yours. and can state that when on hook up the Leisure AND Cab batteries do get charged. But ONLY if you switch on the top right hand power switch on your panel, as in your first pic. This effective allows the cab battery to charge.

Also, if you are driving with the fridge switched to battery ie keeping stuff cool when on the move, probably like ours you need the same switch on to allow the fridge to operate.

Hi sandancers my fridge works when I’m driving without that control panel right hand switch on all I do it turn fridge switch to battery and that works

Il try that right hand panel power switch later to see if the double battery light lights up
