Lovely morning , view from the pitch . Just now at 8.30am .

We’re having another walk doubt to Chanonry point for 10.30am when the tides collide . This is when the dolphins like to come and fish . Fingers crossed we may see them again .

Ralph and bev...if you are stopping there a day or two they run little boat trips out of Avoch that take you out among the dolphins..

Bev, would you be able to give me the GPS coordinates for your stop at Findhorn Valley ? We love wildlife so a stop there on our way to Scotland would be amazing.

Many thanks

Think we may have got a little bit of a video of some of the dolphins last night .
First time we’ve uploaded a vid so fingers crossed . Doesn’t do it justice though . But you do see them pop up a few times .
They did jump out , but not to catch on film unfortunately .

Much better to watch with your eyes than through a lense of phone .

Who’d have thought we’d be sat out in shorts, eating melon in the sun today !
Not us for sure .
We had a walk up into Fortrose bought some supplies had a drink in the local . Which was very very friendly .
Then I pinched a couple of plums and a huge juicy ripe fig off a tree , that was fit to burst with them , on the way back to Pug .
This is Fortrose cathedral , just up from the campsite

Ralph’s been playing with his new toy . I’ve bought it for him for his birthday . He shouldn’t have it yet, as his birthdays not till the 23rd . But it’s a nice evening and he’s been a good boy ....
It’s a folding firebox stove . It’s American and it works off gas , wood or alcohol .
He’s already cooked a chicken and we forgot to photo that .
But here’s the bread he’s just made .

It folds up flat so you can take it out bushcrafting or out walking etc
And yes I know we have a fully functioning oven. But this is right up Ralphs street .

Here you go
https://www.fireboxstove.com/
There’s lots of other accessories for it too .
But you need to go on YouTube to see it’s full potential .
Oh, he’s drunk all the proper stuff and this was in the local shop .

We’ve just called in at Rogie Falls on the way to Ullapool . It’s raining now so we timed it just right .
Good carpark but quite busy parking wise . We parked up and had sausage egg mushrooms and black pudding for Brunch . Then walked to the falls . Hoped to see leaping salmon , but didn’t . We were told by a local that it’s a bit early yet .

We had a lovely evening with David and Bev @DavidG58 last night . A good old catch up and natter . They drove miles , literally to come see us xx
When we retired to Pug we were rocked to sleep with the wind . Boy it was windy last night . Not helped as we chose a pitch right on the front of Ullapool harbour . It must have rained all night too .
The ferry over to Stornaway is going to be choppy !
This was Ullapool yesterday

I’ve prepped my slow cooker so that will be ready for tea tonight .
We will be slavering all day with the lovely smell coming from it behind us .

You seem to be getting weather than us, we're at Ardfern just down from Oban and hoping to cross to Mull today but getting more than our fair share of rain.
