I have charged both sealed lead acid wheelchair batteries & 36v Lithium e-bike batteries from a Sterling 300w modified sine wave inverter without any apparent ill effect.

Not both at the same time & different chargers for each, obviously. The 36v charger was a switch power mode charger (have I remembered that right?) & they'll run off almost anything.
