I am trying to help a friend.

When he goes into Talktalk email it has a folder called "Today" above his "Inbox"

What is this "Today" folder for.

It does not seem to ever have anything in it. If I send him an Email it goes straight into the "Inbox"

If he does not want the Folder can he delete it

Await you expertise.

Doug

I use AOL (now talktalk) for my email account, was with them for many years as an internet customer from dial-up day to last year, and i get the same on my mail page.
page shows
today
new mail
old mail
drafts
sent
spam......etc.

If i click 'TODAY' It takes me to AOL's home page

Hi Pappajohn

If my friend clicks on "Today" it opens like say "Inbo" but there is nothing in it.

Just looked on mine and when clicked it shows the top news stories in the pane where the mail is shown

Thanks Lunarman

When I next talk to him will look into this.

Can you set the Email so that when you open it it defaults to the "Inbox" so that if you want the Today info you have to click on it.

Thanks again.

Doug

Hi Davegen

Can I assume from your reply that if you click on it then nothing appears in the box where the emails are listed when you click on the "Inbox".

Can you set the Email so that when you open it it defaults to the "Inbox" so that if you want the Today info you have to click on it.

If you sign into mail then select "settings" there is an option to display today when signing in if you untick this option you will go straight to the inbox next time you sign in. Don't forget to "save" the settings after removing the tick.

When I click on my emails it opens with eg 6 new messages, I click on that then it takes me to the inbox where all my saved messages and the 6 new ones are. Just click on each one in turn to read.
