Not been on hook up for yonks and sl looking forward to hot water from taps tonight... Hook up is working.

The Truma EHC switch appears to be working (it has lit up)

But just gone to wash dishes ... water cold
:(

PLEASE remember I don't understand technical answers . The indicator panel says 1.5 going out of battery but that could be fridge.

Probably the heating element in the Truma failed, it's a fairly common problem.
You need a man with a meter to check it.

What’s the temp gauge reading?

Heating element failed?, mine did the same last year.

If it's a Truma Combi, the heating element is about £100 there are two of them might be worth replacing both. I think the heater has to come out so a fairly big job.

May not be the heating element may be something simple.
Are you near any Funsters at the moment who could have a look for you.

Have you tried switching it off and back on again?

Joy is there a reset button, on my first van the same think happened and it had previously tripped and just needed reset.

How long did you leave it? Mine takes a good half an hour to get hit on EHU

Regards
Jim

In case you need it.

Have you tried it on gas or combined source?

I left
....and the rest. I normally give it a good gas boost rather than waiting ages
I left It couple of hours before I checked .. (i.e. went to wash dishes) ...

THANK YOU EVERYBODY .. I WILL TRY AND FIND A RESET BUTTON. IF NONE, THEN I WILL TRY THE SWITCH OFF AND ON AGAIN IDEA A FEW TIMES ...

Not shouting just hoping you all see my post. Really appreciate your replies ... xx

It does take ages on electric to get hot

I would of thought you would get the warning light come on if not operating as it should

Silly question, is there water in the boiler?

Yes .. the first gallon when filling tank goes into the boiler and the tank half full .. although I guess the problem MIGHT be a blockage from the tank to the boiler.. I'll add that to my list of 'checks'. I can check it by releasing the water from the boiler by the separate tap for winter release. If nothing comes out then that a problem there.

Have you checked for the warning lights on the dial.

Do you have a access in the side of the van to the boiler.
There is a reset button on the side of the boiler, well there is on ours.
But if the dials are all lit up I’d have thought all is working.

So you are plugged in joy BUT is anything else working on 240v.
