I've mest up with my dates and timings.
So I need to park up for a few hours and find something to while away the time.
Somewhere within a few miles of Llangollen
7mt coach-built motorhome.
Any help appreciated.

There are P&D carparks in the town where you can park but they'll be very busy in summer.
Supermarkets are likely to be time limited with a fine for overstaying.
There's free parking on the Panorama Walk above the town which is very scenic, but it's a bit of a treck down if it's the town you need to be in ?

The Pavilion a 5 minute walk into Llangollen or a nice walk along the canal. Park overhang over the grass. The history of Llangollen in the library is well worth a look at, or a visit to the lady's of Llangollen house would while away some time.

Aldi car park in Llan. 3 hour limit, 5 mins walk (signposted) along river.
Who ever suggested parking a 7m motorhome on the panorama obviously hasn't tried to drive one that length up there, I'd think twice about taking the car.

There is a pub on the way in that you can park at. Give me a minute and I'll look it up.

Here you go we stayed there last year , all good.

Definitely no parking at railway.but, have seen plenty of M/H parked at Aldi

There is a marina type place, at the end of the canal that has a lot of space around it.
Not sure about MH access as I went on a boat, might be worth a look on google maps?

We spent a very pleasant few hours at the aquaduct (don’t ask me to spell it). Huge carpark shown on map

I have also parked in this car park in May. Cost me £3.30. It has bays that will fit all motorhomes (left hand side at the bottom of the car park). Paid via ‘pay by phone’ or at pay station. Nice walk along the aqueduct and down along the river Dee.

Over bridge and left up the hill - large park area on right close to where they set up the Eisteddfod (spelling)

TNR as above.
It’s a rough car park at the centre used by kayakers. 7m no problem.
Use Parking Eye or if before 5pm go in to reception and register you reg. They allow overnight. £7 overnight. Very quiet at night and easy walk into town.

Parking in Llangollen is crap to be fair.
The Sun Trevor is tidy but not exactly in Llan. Probably 3/4 hour walk down the towpath.

I’d second the tearooms at pontycastlle aqueduct, big parking spaces for motorhomes and a nice walk. Not sure of the price now but if you used the cafe you used to get money off the parking and it was in britstops.

Thanks for all your replies.
I parked at the Aqueduct carpark as recommended above.
Good access, plenty spaces for larger vehicles.
£3.00 for the day.
Took a walk along the Llangollen canal which is well surfaced.
