We are on our way back to UK for the next month and our leisure battery has failed (didn't have enough charge when we woke up this morning after a 200k drive).
Anyone any ideas where we can get a replacement in Central Portugal?

are you sure its the battery, do you have any way of testing t=to see if its recieving a charge?

Can't test it but the control panel shows it is well charged after a run. Up to 14.2 volts. After having one light on for two hours it is down to 10.6 and then the panel switches off. Down to using torches.

Yep your probably right then, its time to replce, sorry i cant offer you any advise on where to get one , good luck anyway
pete

Sorry, it might not help you but many people have flooded lead acid batteries with service caps but never check the levels and simply run them dry so hold no charge.

Where in Central Portugal are you,we are in Mira today and until next Wednesday, I have two reserve leisure batteries not connected with me, perhaps if you contact me we can get you sorted.

We are in Montagril on the Orbitur site next to the Barragem. Here until tomorrow then on to the aire at Coimbra. What type of battery is it and how much do you want for it? We could come to you on the way.

Hi,firstly I am more than happy to help you out rather that making a bob or two,of course you can pay for the battery but let's get you sorted. I thought my battery had failed on this trip, so my travelling buddy came over to us two weeks ago with a replacement. I have since found out I had a charging fault. Now sorted. So I have two Platinum available,1x110amp and 1x90amp both used, both lead acid. If either can be of help to you please come. We can talk money later. For the next 5 days I will be in Mira with another 2000 runners, in an international running competition.

Phone no. sent by pm.

great to hear funsters helping each other miles from home:)

Thanks to everyone for your help, especially Jumar for offering a replacement to get us going! I contacted my dealer who has offered to pay for a replacement which I have now got.....what a difference.Had it tested at Campilusa in Coimbra who were very helpful. Confirmed the battery was knackered! So now we are back on the road and heading back to UK in slow time.
