HELLO, just looking for some info or insight, has anyone installed an auto clutch unit to their outfit, you know, an installation of a servo and wiring where they put a put a button onto the gearstick which activates a servo which presses the clutch in for you?? Was it a success, where did you get it installed, does it work with a 2016 Boxer based motorhome, is it worthwhile or a waste of time?? thanks for any views or ideas on this....

45 yrs Tugging
From memory a few years ago when we were still tugging a friend had one fitted to 2.5 Vauxhall Omega for towing caravan because of a bad leg it did not stop on long as it did not perform well enough to to the job. He wasn't a Young flyer type but fifty plus.

History :A few years back a good mate (Alan Banks ATB transport) after an accident at keel services exit ramp lost his leg.
Later he bought a had converted (as you describe) a 16ton flatbed .it was all ropes and sheets in those days ,but tramping with him all over the country.
,him hopping one leg allover yhe load and stripling off the sheets ,id be doing the easy work ,
then some store or office waller would like to speak me the driver /boss when I pointed out Alan on top of the load some thought we we having a laf, sometimes we were .
But to answer your op not sure who did the fitting ,but not rocket science.very successful all over the UK
