Hi have a week off work at the end of March has anyone used the Haven touring sites as prices are good not Scotland . Thank you.

Not used Haven but often stayed on many Parkdean sites.

Not for the faint hearted during the school holidays.

They do have lots of Special Offers, some really good value.

We stayed at Haven site on West coast at flukebourgh last September it was canny. It is a massive site bigger than a housing estate full of statics but the touring part was less busy then probs COVID rules. Lots of things to do for children heated indoor pool zip line etc. On site fish shop, pizza etc. I don't normally like big sites but I have to be more flexible having a 8 year old. Price was £52 pound for van, awning and ehu, the price made my eyes water lol!

Yeah we have used them many times, can't fault them really, you can sometimes get special offers at less than a tenner a night with all facilities, you can use all the site amenities if you want or just keep yourself to yourself , whichever you want.
Always good bars and shows but top price for beers and stuff but as long you know this, no problems.

Wow I'm hooked now, look at this in skegy.
5 nights 30 quid, cheaper than stopping at home

Used both. Pitch good but often the opposite end of the park from any site amenities. Facilities better at Haven in my view. Sites often served by local bus routes for getting into bigger towns. Give it a go you may like it.

Thanks everyone just sitting looking at the reviews . Work is tough just now so wanting to get away for a week .

Look at this in march, Blackpool £55 for 5 nights, might have a go at that myself.
We stayed at Marton Mere in a static a few years ago. Not a bad site, but - the place was teeming with tinkers having all night caravan drinking parties.
The security staff told us that the travellers get females with English accents to make the bookings over the phone.

Those deals are fantastic... we paid £52 per night last September......i now feel sick lol

Haven prices off season are very good.
High season they usually more than quadruple in price. Market forces and all that.
They seem to be catching up on the fact that some parents take their kids out of school the week before or after the school holidays, as you'll often see those weeks are priced higher.

We own a static van in Haven Wild Duck in Norfolk and thoroughly enjoying ownership and the site. A mid sized woodland site. Up until this year, it took tourers, but all change now with 60+ new Static pitches replacing the 120 touring pitches. Should be ready by 01 March opening

Use them all the time , most are great off season for the price , did 4 last year , Flamborough, Golden sands ,Mablethorpe, Caister on Sea,Norfolk ,(which doesn't seem to be listed this year) and Perran Sands Cornwall. 2 already booked at end of April for this year. Hafan y Mor North Wales is one of the best (all euro pitches ) and Golden Sands Mablethorpe is one of the worst (seem to be pushing for all statics as they took about 40 pitches last year and replaced them with statics).

Great value out of season, not sure if late bookings can achieve the same during peak times?

We went a couple of years ago, I think it was the last week of the summer holidays, £9.80 per night.

Sadly the trend for some years now is for private sites to cut touring pitches and replace them with statics, because that is more profitable.

It also might bring forward the time when the whole site can get Planning approval for residential development so the owners can cash in.

Ah they have got rid of the touring pitches then? They was talk a couple years ago they would.

Pity as I really liked WD.

We've used a lot of them and the facilities are usually good. Only issue is the pitches are in constant use in the high season so by mid August the grass is dead and if its been a typical summer, muddy.

Looks like Wild Duck Caister and The Orchards have biffed their touring parks.

Used Parkdean Sanford once, never again. Full of feral kids and abusive adults. An utter shower at this place.

The site is guaranteed it’s money in full at the beginning of the year with a static owner, where as a tourer might or might not come and pay.
