Has anyone replaced their lpg oven with an electric all in one microwave/air fryer/convection oven?

Put you a link up on my post
thanks, looks like a good price BUT again its just a bit too wide .... but really appreciate you taking the time to point it out to me - i think around 47cm is close to the max width, though i think the best idea will be to remove the oven and get some really accurate measurements - might be a job for the next couple of days if i get chance ..

Has anyone got one? If so does the grill actually work well enough to toast a round of bread? We can't manage without our toast in a morning!

If yes this type may be an option in place of a microwave and gas grill, it could even mean that our next design was gas free with extra lithium and a diesel Truma.

We toast a whole loaf before we leave and keep it in the freezer. At half a slice a day for me and a quarter slice for Jane we can last a month off toaster grid.

We have a Samsung combined microwave (900w)/Oven, works an absolute treat on both modes through our 3000w inverter and lithium setup. No airfryer capability though.

Nice. How wide is that? It's not over your fridge so I guess it's wider needed for a replacement.

Jim jumar seems to have gone a bit mad with quoting on page 1  any chance of deleting the repeats?

Make sure there is enough room for air to circulate, microwaves in Elddis’s are known to cut out due to overheating as they are fitted in a tight space. Owners being frustrated they cannot be used for long enough to defrost/cook items.

Did a quick google on manualslib and AI and got this. We are away in the van on Sunday so could confirm the width and height then if helpful.

523 x 309 x 506 mm. Outside

373 x 233 x 370 mm. Oven cavity

Weight 20kg
great thanks, just to wide for our moho !!! best wishes

has anyone installed an all in one microwave/air fryer/convection oven in place of their existing lpg oven?
My personal thoughts would be to keep them separate. A saving on purchase can lead to increased on-going running costs.

1. An airfryer is smaller than a convection oven, which is one of the reasons they're quick. The compromise just bundling those two could either mean lesser efficiency in fryer mode or too small an oven.
2. I don't really like 'bundles' because if one part breaks, all of it may not work
3. None will work to normal efficiency because they require different things and early example if that was washer/dryers where the drum requirements for each mode was different so the dryer was less efficient and consequently more costly to run.

My 2p

Agree with your thoughts but if space is at a premium do you do without?

I suppose that depends on a individual's decision after factoring in (or not), my 2p.

I reckon if they really need all 3 - m/wave, air fryer and convection oven, yet they're space limited, they will need to compromise. It's certainly nice to have all three but if our home kitchen wasn't big enough we'd not have all three. Same principle, I think, for moho.

Our choice is still for a combination of all three of we can get one that fits AND is of a useable size for us!

Okay, question ... what in reality is the difference in use between a microwave/air fryer and a microwave/convection oven ...

There's food you can't cook in a microwave that you can cook in the others. Chips, for example, much better in airfryer, even if cut from fresh potato then oiled.

I think the only one you can bake in is the convection oven. Pies or cakes.

I consider an airfryer (well ours which is a small oven with dropdown front door), to be a small fan oven. Much quicker than convection oven coz it's smaller. Stuff like chicken breasts come out much better from our airfryer.

I can't speak about drawer-type airfryers.

Would this maybe fit, Dave? 280 x 469 x 415 mm (H x W x D) - 14.9kg.

Whether it has the functionality required though??

thanks, will def give it a look (is it just a combi microwave/convection oven?), also found this one on an auction site, same capacity of 23 litres, but def oven/air fryer/microwave combi.
my brain suggests that is just under 4 x 6 litre milk containers, so it appears to be reasonably sized - i think we're going to order it and try it out next week as a 'table top' cooker at the Thorpe Rally before dismantling the motorhome !!

From the drop down spec on the link above
Maximum microwave power - 900 W
Oven power - 1700 W
Grill power - 1000 W

The Tosh seems to have the same power specs.

ps that's a heck of a lot of milk you're heating up for your bedtime cocoa!:whistle2:

its the way my brain often works when trying to imagine how big something is, if i know how big a milk carton is i can visualise how big a space is!

similar to working out the rough weight of something using bags of sugar (assuming its not a motorhome i am looking at of course LOL)

the Russell Hobbs doenst appear to have air fry function though?

i am just waiting for response re using the air fryer, apparently its via an app ???

One of the possible replacement vans we looked at recently had an all singing electric oven in the garage, connected to a socket and used in situ. Plenty of room but not for us 😉

just pushed the buy button on the Toshiba, went for the 'tatty box' one, still has full guarantee .... just under £110 !!!

Watching this keenly. We have thought about the same idea; remove the gas oven/grill, install Microwave/AirFryer. Please let us know how you get on.

Yes agreed ref the microwave, my question was more about the air fryer and convection oven difference.

I think the only one you can bake in is the convection oven. Pies or cakes.
You can bake in both: https://www.airfryeryum.com/air-fryer-baking-guide/

The only difference between and air fryer and convection oven is that the heat from the air fryer is at the top whereas in a convection oven it is from the bottom but as both use a fan to circulate the air I'm not sure what in reality is the difference to actually cooking.

Is it just the latest 'fad' to get people to think that their perfectly usable microwave/convection oven is 'useless' so they need to get a microwave/air fryer instead?

Is yours an oven or an air fryer?

I think of my airfryer as a glorified, fan assisted remoska, they are both great for cakes and pies, we have abuilt in microwave, rarely used, no oven but both remoska and airfryer, oh and cadac for gas. No inverter or lithium so rely on electric at sites if we need to use. Do miss my full cooker in my Mizar, the oven/grill in the escape was good too, but there is only so much you can have in a 6M van
