Does anyone know when you are able to get into the port at Harwich for the eve sailing? We are on the 23:00 sailing in July but wondered if we got there early could we just park up and relax? That way we are on board quickly. I was told 8pm on the phone but thought if I arrived earlier would I get turned away.

Two years ago we arrived about 5pm, cooked tea and relaxed until access started. We were not the first in the queue, and lots of others arrived before 8pm. Staff at the check in booths seem to arrive about 15 minutes before the gates open.

There is a large Morrisons supermarket nearby and also a very nice pub--- 5 minutes from entrance gates to the dock
