I have once again inherited a Hartal door on my Carthago. The door appears to match the van and loves self destruction mode. The plastic stay on top of the door has snapped and I've used up my 7 replacements. Over the last week I've tried every contact I know for more stays but without success.
Does anyone know of a UK supplier. Don't suggest Carthago they're brain dead unless your buying.
Here's a photo of the stay mount I need.

We had a Swift with the same stupid door stop arrangement. I finished up making one out of a piece of nylon then the screw at the other end pulled out of the frame. Considering it's supposed to stop the door if the wind catches it it's hardly fit for purpose. When we changed MH we looked at a Burstner which we both liked but walked away as it had the same stupid door fastening. Only a small point really but the Swift had a nice dent in the door where the side skirt hit it when the door retainer gave way.

I noticed the other week that the later Swifts now have a proper door stay.

Try a plastic double glazing trade outlet for a rather nice stainless device that I suspect would fit perfectly.

Bailey have the part BUT it comes with the flat bar and at £20 it's a bit OTT.

Yup, so did ours. In the end we took the stay off and used a bungee.
