Hamilton and Rossi to swap vehicles

Hamilton is no slouch on two wheels !

ALL seems a bit risky for Lewis . 4 Wheels safer than two lol. Schumacher was only on ski,s. Wish him well ,,but should not be allowed to take the risk. Just saying lol.

MotoGP tracks are pretty safe - probably as safe for bikes as F1 tracks are for cars.

its normally fairly safe its surprising how well the human body can bouncs along a fairly smooth surfaces it only when some idiot puts a wall or lamp post in the way it bloody hurts?

Yep.. canna remember the exact figures but it was over 80% of motorcycle related injuries involved either another vehicle or road furniture

I had 40+ crashes on track. The only major one was when I hit the tyre wall at Mallory Park. Very fast :(

Hitting the tyre wall around the marshalls post at the Goose Neck at Cadwell wasn't much fun either.

I did that in my first ever race meeting, 1982. RD400 leaned right over till exhaust lifted back wheel on right hander. Demolished straw bales.. Ouch but nowt broken :(

You should have seen John Surtees back in the day. Brilliant (and world champion) on two and four wheels. Showing my age!

I did and Geoff Duke, Bob Mac, Alistair King, Jim Redman, Gary Hocking and many others. That was before Hailwood, Sheene, Agostini et al came along.

Ah the good old days. Those names bring back some happy memories.

Bill Ivy.. Died when his bike seized and he came off hitting a naked guard rail post

I was there and I still live at the end of the lane from Mallory Park.............when I’m at home anyway.

I think there's a bit more to car racing than that. Have a look on Google :)
Yes I have looked, but it did not tell me how I managed it 50 years ago.
So yes I have raced myself but that was only in a lotus Cortina not quite as fast though:sleep:
