I came to turn on the house power to the van for the fridge, but I did not have the EHU cable so I went and accused the wife if she was squirrelling it away , no she said never touched it, so off I go having a search around for it. Not there anywhere.
A question I ask myself is who would WANT a new EHU cable? and who drives passed my house staring out of a transit pickup?, regularly looking for scrap left out.? Why would somebody take a caravan connecting cable what use is it to most people?
Right piXXXd off now and had to get a new one and the adaptor that fits the male end into my sockets..
Who would do such a thing?

:swear: I could say but my lips are sealed. If I told I would have to kill you.? (or Jim would have me Barred  )

If you can’t find a cable and adapter locally, Go Outdoors, Camping Stores, etc.
I would order from Amazon Prime for quick delivery if you need it in a hurry.
Oops... ignore above, misread and see you have already got one.

Pal of mine apprehended a local "scrap man" in his Transit, he'd just helped himself to next door's two kid's bikes that were left on the grass verge outside their house, he said he "thought" they had been abandoned.

Sorry to hear that, thieving little bar stewards. Probably from that group named after a predatory river fish. ?

Just keep an eye out for the black smoke somewhere near Dover.
Long, long ago, when I started work as an electricians mate, the rising black smoke became a standing joke as we burnt the insulation off the old cables for the copper.

Less cash that way best strip it manually

I keep my van behind a six foot wall and high gate, and there were two cameras on it but one has failed now. Next to go up will be a poacher alarm fired by a catgut tripwire across the bit to the road, keep the bang bang, bit under a box and sealed against moisture. Should be a big enough bang to dissuade any more intruders over the wall.

My mum once left her wheelchair by the front door for about half an hour, in that time a scrappy had drove past and taken it. Never seen again.

Despicable! He would have needed a wheelchair for life if I had caught him.

Now that you've bought a new one, the old one will turn up. At least, that's what happens in my experience.

It was me who pinched it, I wanted to see if I could make jewellery out of it.
Really though, you should be able to leave things on your property and for it to be there when you go to use it.

Had the RV on permanent hook up on garage forecourt
They nicked 15 foot out of the live cable :Eeek:

Not her specifically but might have deterred others from stealing other wheelchairs from other needy people.

Do I understand then that you believe in taking the law into your own hands and, by doing so, you will deter others from doing naughty stuff?

JJ
