MandP are doing the my23 for £3,990, seems to be the cheapest out there.I’ve noticed the Duke390 2024 model is out, as we’re definitely selling the motorhome when we return to Blighty in 8 weeks I will also be selling the Scooter, was interested in the 390 initially but storage was limited for the shopping trips when away,
Im thinking that hopefully there is some good deals to be had on the 2023 models when I return home, would like new but just can’t get my head around giving the VAT man any money, unless of course they start giving fantastic deals on the new model
That’s shows serious heat it looks hot just stood.WOW. Love it.Nice colouration on the pipes there.

My Hornet's a 750 parallel twin, can't be that different to the 790/890Mrs bigtree’s first big bike was a CB600 Hornet, nice bike but KTM 890r is a far superior bike afaik. View attachment 867046
Fully adjustable suspension, Brembo Stylema calipers and a load of ride settings via the Tech Pack.My Hornet's a 750 parallel twin, can't be that different to the 790/890![]()

Go have a lay down MarkDoes that price tag say 19,000?
Selling up I’m afraid, still fighting for planning permission, so whichever way it goes will decide what we do next, if we do get the go ahead the van would need to go into storage, nothing within an hr of us that can take size and insurance is happy with.Go have a lay down Mark
Are you replacing the van or just selling up?
Titanium. That’s shows serious heat it looks hot just stood.WOW. Love it.
It’s almost as wide as a carFitted the Shad E48 semi rigid panniers today, didn't take them away as they were ridiculously wide, but I've cut 6cm off their width and bolted them back together with a load of stainless M5 bolts. Really missed the scooters load carrying but the Duke will be better now. View attachment 965903

They are about the same width as the handlebars now but there's a zip round the top to expand another 2 inches or so. Plenty wide enoughIt’s almost as wide as a car![]()
Been looking at the new Kawasaki Z500 as a replacement for the Duke, keep getting erroneous fault lights coming up then disappearing, "Kill switch" and engine warning light that goes off after 3 cold starts.
The Z is a 451cc parallel twin with a bit more power and torque and it's only 153kg dry, swap the hideous exhaust can and it will be as light as the Duke but with legendary Japanese reliabilityView attachment 1063088
I notice they are all posh metallic greens nowadays though
I never buy anything that is green.![]()

2 reasons mainly. I want a smoother twin engine and the Japanese bikes have bullet proof reliability and build qualityLooks nice. What about a Duke 690? I gather they are completely mental and not much heavier than your 390 I think.
I keep thinking of testing one but I do like my Vstrom as its got so much weather protection
If you're towing you need a Vstrom, or if it's going in the garage and you have 200kgs of payload spare then an SV650, both have the same engine and loads of torque, very smooth to ride and I get 60 mpg out of mine, the Vstrom is more comfortable but is too tall to fit in my garage. Get a test ride, you won't regret it.2 reasons mainly. I want a smoother twin engine and the Japanese bikes have bullet proof reliability and build quality
