I recently discovered that C&CC members can claim an extra 10% discount on top of the card price at Go Outdoors. Did everyone know except me??

Yes, I used it a couple of weeks back. You download and print of a voucher from the C&CC website. Quite a few restrictions though, basically no discount on promo or sale items which a lot are in Go Outdoors.

You can get an extra 10% if you can prove to find somewhere that can beat their price. I have done it several times.

Never leave a campsite with your clothes line tied to a lamp post.
Go outdoors Price Match is worth using. I recently bought an item which was marked up at £280 and showed them the same product on line with my phone at £250. They matched the £250 with an extra 10% making a further £25 saving so from my perspective I got what I wanted when I wanted with a £55 saving..........sweet......

I just showed my C&CC membership card. They had a file with all the bodies they give discounts to, and zapped the appropriate bar code. I got about 65 pence off something yesterday, andt it made me feel good (I'm from Yorkshire!!)

I've got an honest face , they give me the 10% when I tell them I'm a member [I am] but the card is in the MH.

Its worth checking online with any club you belong to if you are off to make a purchase , most clubs and organisations have discount arrangements with all sorts of places.

Even buying food at certain motorway service stations if you belong to the AA for example.

The M6 tollroad is a very good discount with the Caravan and Motorhome Club motorhomes travel for the same price as a car. Roughly a 50% discount.

Whenever my wife boasts about the amount that she has saved on her purchases I remind her that what matters is how much is spent, not how much might have been saved.
