7 years campers before that
wording is a bit misleading as it does seem to sugest it plugs in when in fact its the barby that plugs in after the point has been fitted, it will have to be teed in to an existing gas line after the regulator

Can you connect a spare bottle to the BBQ point if you had to as an emergency gas supply.

Short while after a gap of many years.

No - unless you are able to back feed your low pressure line through the bbq point with LOW pressure regulated supply from the emergency bottle - meaning you fit a low pressure regularity to the bottle.

For High pressure side only -
Gadit do a hose for an emergency supply which plugs into the external fill point one end and the other to the free standing gas bottle you are going to get your emergency gas from.

Alternatively - if you use your existing gas line tails when installing their refillable bottles - you can purchase adapters which screw into their outlets of the bottles which enables your tails with calor type connections to screw into them.

This means if you run out of gas you only need to unscrew one tail as if you were changing an exchange bottle and screw it into the emergency exchange bottle. That is what I do - you may need to put the exchange bottle on a temporary support like an upside down bucket to raise it to the same level as the refillable fitted bottles - ensuring the bucket/ platform and temporary exchangeable bottle are secure and will not move .:)

I would fit it myself but have a panel van conversion and don't fancy drilling a large hole in the side for the filler.

thats another of those issues where ir says its not to be used for that purpose....
and of course the bottle you were using would have to have the correct regulator fitted..:D
