We have just placed an order for our new campervan but won't get it until June/July next year.
So, I will start to investigate all the things I might/will need over the coming months ready to hit the ground running on handover. I want to have all that I need without buying loads ofvtat that will never see the light of day.

First up is a set of pans.
Anyone used the Tefal Ingenio and would you recommend? If so, which set?

If you use the search facility - top left, there are many threads...
I found the pans too big for a solo traveller.

Yes, we got the big set, good for all heat sources including induction.
We bought an extra pan 1 up from the smallest, but it is the lighter non induction.
We are both pleased with them after 4 years use. We have substituted the pan lids for multisize silicon ones which take up less space and can go in medium temp oven. We stack all with foam clover leaf inserts.
Wash up easily especially if you wipe down with paper towel.
Oven use good, non stick unmarked.
Some of the frying pans went to the house, along with the lids, the rest get a regular airing.

We have the aluminium ones and wouldn’t be without them. We have three pans and two frying pans. Use them as casseroles and roasting tins. They stack together (with pan separators ) take up no space in the cupboard. We did buy two handles and the glass lids.

Do you find the click on handles damage the non stick or is this not a problem.

I did click on the search icon and typed in Tefal ingenio but nothing came up. Must have done something wrong so will try again

There’s some scuffing but after 4 years it’s minor.

Thanks Wombles.
Looked up the link you posted and they are 270 now on that set!
Do you have problems with food sticking on the stainless versions?

Old Codger, thanks, thats good to know

Going to explore other threads now if I can find them.

Had a set for many years and love them. Agree that the big pan is too big for my solo use bet they don’t take up much room so just sits in the bottom of my pan cupboard.

Wobbles, 270 was for the 13 piece set!
We only have the 4 piece - not that much room in a 6m van conversion! Still expensive at current online price of £90 though. We bought an extra handle too for the same reasons as above then found out they shouldn't be left on when cooking on gas hobs so really only need one for moving the pans. The lids are very compact but other lids from older pan set will do.

Amazon have a 5 piece basic starter kit for £69 pounds which isn't bad. But as you are in no rush I would wait for any offers to appear. The set we bought had the frying pan which is around £38 on its own but it has a very solid base which is what you need for an even heat. I suspect the basic frying pan is a bit thin.

Look out for an equivalent type of set up in Lidl at s much lower price and we have had no problem with them.

Sounds like this is a thumbs up from the Funsters. Thank guys!

As DBK says we have plenty of time. Just wanted to be able to add to my list of definites then we can jump on a good deal.

Happy to buy a small set or a large set depending on the deal. That way, we can choose a few for the van and the rest can be used at home.

Aah, wasnt aware that there might be alternatives. Another one to watch then!

We use them too, very pleased with them, we also bought two clip on handles but I already had a 'Trangia' camping pan handle which fit and work very well, though they don't clip on like the Ingenio ones do, about a fiver

Also... as you have time... keep an eye on the French Amazon.fr I bought mine via them, half the price of the UK site.

We got ours in a sale at Carrefour when I lived in France.

Four years light use. With official handle. This saucepan is the most used/worn.

Will check that out. Do they deliver to UK at reasonable price? Never ordered anything from non-UK Amazon

That's brilliant. I expected lot of damage to the inside of the pan.

My Moho has a ceramic type hob (diesel) so can't use all types of pans. I went for Judge stockpot pans as they are tall, smaller footprint, sit inside each other and have small handles that don't get in the way

For me, having to mess about with a clip on handle doesn't cut it in the kitchen🙂

Yes
You have to keep an eye on the total cost of course.
It helps if you have a no cost EU card to pay with.
You can sign in to Amazon.fr with your .co.uk account
Google translate helps.
Amazon is international, so no concerns about from .fr
I've bought a high value phone from amazon.it

https://webprice.eu/price/
compares amazon prices across Europe

Love them. Have got two sizes of saucepan and two sizes of frying pan in the van. The non-stick induction ones. Hard wearing and the most non stick of non stick pans I have ever used - to the extent that a quick wipe out with a bit of kitchen towel and they could be put away (I do however, wash them:smiley:)
