Here in Katowice, Poland many buses are now electric.

Originally they just carried an advert on saying 100% electric.

Now some have a pictorial with an electric cable - with a standard 2-pin continental plug on the end Oh Please!.

Shows what the bus company think of the IQ of its passengers

Hi nicholsong.
I have the greatest respect of the Polish people, met a lot of them when ( Not ? ) at school, early 50's going to work with super dad. However, they are close to the Irish people when. " Fun is being poked " ie. NO OFFENCE MEANT..." You can tell its a Polish mug,the handle is on the inside ". Whats that about sticks and stones ? :ROFLMAO:
If you are Irish/Polish extraction....... Hearts bigger than buckets.

Like this one? If so makes total sense. Most people would recognise that, but how many would recognise a Chademo or CCS plug?

We have electric buses used on the park and ride but range if I remember rightly is only 100km goodness only knows how much they weigh as the battery packs are very heavy. Surely the range must decrease when its raining with lights-wipers and heater’s going. I drove an electric peugeot van from Oxford to Andover in the rain and keeping to steady 55mph used nearly 50% battery

I know what you are saying Karl, but they could have shown a cable disappearing into a charging box, without the misinformation of that plug that might lead to some people not realising that the requirements of a bus are vastly different from a kettle.

They do not need to know the requirements. That is not a guidance sign it is a marketing sign to show it is zero emission.
The simpler it is to understand the better. Everyone will understand that sign, but you start introducing other plugs or boxes that are not clear what they are for, then you reduce the clarity of the message.

Dosen't Poland use a shed load of coal so not exactly green!! 🤣🤣🤣

We had electric buses in England back in the 50s and 60s called trolly buses..Our so called experts in government decided the future was oil and scrapped them.

They were excellent for pulling up steep hills in Brighton.
